First off, this has been my shortest cruise ever and believe me it was toooooo short! This is my fourth cruise with Disney. I love Disney but when the weather is against you there is nothing you can do. It was cold from the day we stepped on the ship till the time I got off. The water in the pool was warm though. It is also our first time traveling in winter months and we have learned that although the price was decent...the experience in a warmer time frame would have been more enjoyable.

First Day: embarkation was smooth as ever...we had boarding number 2 (My son, Josh 10 and sister, Migdalia joined me....we were in a CAT 11 6631---not bad of a room...small leak in the tub but they fixed it quick). There was a huge Xmas tree in the terminal. We boarded at 11:45am and went directly to Beach Blanket Buffet. The buffet meal was not as fascinating as on my previous cruises....more choices/variety...yet it was still ok. My son did not care how cold it was...he still got in the pool. I was afraid he was going to catch cold but the pool temperature is 80 degrees. The room was ready promptly at 1:30pm. We headed down to drop off our carry on. We had early seating...5:45....PTA Rotation. We got ready for dinner and had Mihailo and Milos for our servers...They were new but did a great job I think. Again, we did not get the warm fuzzies like we did on our first ever cruise with Disney but thats the luck of the draw:) LOL. However, we were chosen to sit with the guest Disney artist of the week, John Rowe....he was the sweetest man. My son loved talking to him. He was painting BELLE and each night you could go and see him paint. He will be 1 cruise every month for the next four months...It is a neat experience. You barely have time to do anything right after dinner....the bingo games have started by 7:30 so its a bummer. We did go to the stores each evening prior to the show and took pictures. The first show was Golden Mickeys....it was great as always:) After the show I was a little worn out and so it was off to bed.

Second Day--Woo hoo Nassau, Bahamas....I was so excited because we were going to the Atlantis Aquaventure....disaster...it was soooooo cold again...did I mention how cold it was....yeppppers.....tooo cold. We froze...I went into the lazy river and it was not lazy at all with the wind kicking up...it turned into rapids...little scary I think. We promptly got out after going around once and changed. The water was not heated enough if it even was. We got meal vochers and went to get a bite. We got pizza and fries and a drink....son loved it until we were chased by all the seagulls...I'm not talking one or two...maybe 10 or more....I kept thinking of the movie...the BIRDS.... however, it was hilarious...I ran into the restroom with my son and sister. We ate in there but it was the highlight of our day.....we laughed so much! You always need to turn the bad into a good! We finished lunch and went to the dig---underground aqquarium...that was really cool. We ended up going from outside to inside the hotel. MY sister went to the casinos and Josh andI went to get some souvenirs in the hotel gift shops. We got back to the ship and I was so exhausted. I fell alseep for two hours. My son and sister went to the pools...they were heated at least. I should've gotten a massage but I am not going to cry my pain to others.LOL....Tonight was Toy Story the musical.... was excited...it was a nice show but not for all the hype it received. I prefer the Woody in the Golden Mickeys then a live actor Woody but to each their own. I fell asleep but my son loved it and after all thats what counts in my book. After the show it was Pirate Night. We all went to deck 10 and sat in deck chairs and a table. You could see the stage and fireworks...It was a must see....it was the best one I have been too. The buffet was good afterwards...we just went and hit the hay....Now the room was well kept and there were little animals each night....1st night Stingray...tonight was an elephant. The third night was a monkey:)

Third day:) Castaway Cay day....again unbelievably cold in the morning and to make matters worst...we had rain till right before noon. We went to the beach for lunchtime. The water was freezing but Josh loved it:)We then went back to the ship to get ready for the Castaway Club party....that was nice...then off to dinner at Animators Palate...The food was good in all the dining areas. I loved the shows at dinner. Josh left with my sister early from dinner in order to get his model ship signed. I gave out my tips and went insearch of them. I bought a few phots but Shutters was overwhelmingly full...you could not breathe in there. We were off to the stores one final time...Ceciliana from Treasure Ketch is lovely. Send her my love. She was an angel to my son. She sent him an award with one of her Mickey pins...and called him the Future Captain...he was in love:) She made a great basket for us to take back home to my mother with all the kitchen utensils and accessories...we then went to see Disney Dreams...this was the BEST BEST BEST show ever. I stood awake for this one. I loved it! When we got out of the show, Preludes....snack/candy/bar for the Disney theater was closed and sealed off...there was alot of water coming in from above....as if the sprinklers went off. The lights were half off as well when we exted. I went into the store to ask Ceceiliana what happened. She was close-lipped about it. She said...things like this happen...she light-heartedly told Josh "When you're captain of the ship, you will experience all these things." We went and finished packing.

Debarkation Morning (Today:() I'm sad....I really love cruising. I think if it would have been a 7day..I would have had ample time to relax and find great moments amongst the cold:) HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Breakfast was at 6:30am....we were off the ship by 7:30am.

Nena -- I totally agree about the cruise being WAY too fast and cold! It's interesting to read about the same cruise in another person's eyes.

Sorry we never got a chance to meet up (next time on our LONGER cruise!!!). I did meet two of the gals from the DIS, one at the meet by the pool and the other during the 5K race (the warmest part of the day!). At least Castaway got warmer as the day went on -- DSs loved being in the pool.

Who knows....my son probably played with yours and we more than likely crossed paths:) I love Disney Cruiseline despite the weather being sucky...I am bummed I did not book another one on the ship...There is a June 13th special that I could book online with a super great deal but the family wants to go on Freedom of the Sea with RCL on May 31st to the Eastern Caribbean...honestly its the first time both DCL and RCL prices are the same...freaky....I've been on RCL before and it was ok...the kids experience on DCL is better I think.....at this time my son is more into the pools than anything else.

I will more than likely travel Disney again maybe Spring Break of 2010...I don't think I can hold out for the new ship in 2011 .....I don't thik I can take a break from cruising...its to much of an addiction:) I am singing the DCL Blues now b/c I miss the ship....On the bright side...I can go to the Port anytime I want to just see them. HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone asked me who the cruise director was--->it was Clayton and his Carlton dance---loved that but do you remember the name of the Cruise Assistant??????

Its been two day since I was off the wonder and despite the cold times...I miss the ship...I wanna go again:(....HUGS!

Yeah you have too. I wanted it to be special for my son and despite the cold...he had that!
