Just curious -- there is a 3.5 star hotel that shows up a lot on Hotwire in the WDW area with the only listed amenitie (amenity?) being a restaurant. It is usually price from about $50 to $55 a night. I've looked on the site dealing with Hotwire hotels, and can't find anything giving the identity of this one. I am wondering what kind of 3.5 star hotel in the WDW area wouldn't at least have a pool? If anyone knows, or has a hunch, please reply. Thanks!

Yes, I did check betterbidding.com. That's a very helpful site, but so far this particular hotel has not been identified, as far as I can tell (unless I'm just missing the thread). I tried to post this question on that site, but can't seem to get registered correctly.

I am registered on BiddingforTravel, but that site will not, of course, let one post questions about the indentity of a hotwire hotel on pain of death. So hopefully some Orlando hotel guru on this site will have the answer.

I try to follow the Hotwire & Priceline hotel lists, and I have not seen a hotel listed with restaurant only. It would be really helpful if you could post this at Betterbidding.com

You would need to post your trip dates and let them know what came up for availability. I'm sure they can help you.

Maybe it's a new hotel that has contracted with Hotwire. Let us know what you find out.

Good luck!

There is an 'Email Administrator' link near the top of the screen at BetterBidding that you can use to find out why you can't post and to get help in fixing the problem.

Did you use a real email address when you registered and validate your account by clicking the link in the email that automatically gets sent when you register?

So far, no one has been able to identify this property on betterbidding or here on the DIS. I posted this same thread on better bidding and the admistrator couldn't find anything. If you would like to read the thread, go to betterbidding.com Scroll down towards the bottom and click on FLORIDA. Then click on Hotwire-Florida. My post is 8 or 9 down on the list. "HELP: WDW restaurant is the only amenity listed". I'm not going to bid with such little info and apparently no one else has either. I hope we can find out which property this is. :)

Since I can't imagine any hotels without pools in Orlando, is it possible this hotel is under renovations and the pool will be closed for a period of time?

Could this be a bed and breakfast? Are B&B's listed on Hotwire?

I recently checked on Hotwire and was offered this option. Was afraid to "bite." But the lack of pool made me think B&B...

I hear or read somewhere that The Club Doubletree's pool will be closed for renovations soon. they have an Au Bon Pan inside and I know that hotel comes up on Hotwire.
