3/25/2013 - "Wonder"-ful Cruise to the Caribbean!

Hi! Please add us to the list of cruisers. We will be a party of 3: myself (Bob), DW (Deb) and DS14 (Bryce). Our oldest, DD21 won't be able to join us unfortunately.

Like others, this is spring break for DS. Hopefully that means a good # of young teens to keep him busy while DW and I hang out at Cove Cafe. This will be our 4th DCL cruise, 2nd time on the Wonder.

Not sure if we're going to participate in FE or not -- arts and crafts aren't a strong suit in our house. I'll see if I can talk DW into doing something however.

Evidently FB has the following settings:

Open
Anyone can see the group, who's in it, and what members post.

Closed
Anyone can see the group and who's in it. Only members see posts.

Secret
Only members see the group, who's in it, and what members post.

To keep people from knowing who is the group, it would have to be secret. Does anyone know how you add people to a secret group without being their friends? When I look through the FAQ from FB, it says no one can request to join a secret group, and to add people you must be friends with them. I think our last cruise's FB was closed but I'm not certain.

On a related note, if someone is more Facebook group-savvy than me, let me know and I'll add you as an admin!

I would be in favor of a secret or closed group as well. Unfortunately, you have to be friends in order to add as a member. If you don't want to add as friends, and idea would be to set up a new facebook page and just use that to add us as friends for the group.

Also, in favor of the private facebook - do you think we can also not post the google doc for public view? Just a thought.

I don't think Leah has any info on the google doc that needs to be private. Its made only for us to have a printable form before we leave. Let me know if im missing something?

You also cannot find that doc unless you have the link. I don't have any problem making it private if everyone is more comfortable with that - anyone who wants to see would just have to email me to be added.

This is just too far away.... Just booked a cruise for this August to hold us over! Looking forward to the Dream and then the Wonder will make the 3rd ship.... Naturally, this means we have to go on the Fantasy soon

I'm not sure myself. I don't see any mention of them in any of the posts. Maybe the sent a message to Leah. I'm just updating the first page for all new readers. The google doc is for you to print out before you leave.
