Hello! We are trying to plan a trip either the second week of November or second week of December..... for those of you who have traveled during these times, which was less crowded? Are the Magic Kingdom and other park Christmas decorations up? Are hotels decorated yet? Which would be a better time for Christmas and for crowds?

Any input is greatly appreciated!!!

We've gone the third week in December the last three years. The crowd levels have gotten increasingly busier, but it's still quite manageable. The Christmas decorations are really lovely and we keep happening upon really neat things like a high school choir singing in the Contemporary resort and things like that.

Can't speak to November, but December is nice.

We've been during both of those times.

November: MK is fully decorated for the MVMCPs. Christmas trees are up at the other parks. Food and Wine at Epcot. Resorts are not yet decorated.

December: Christmas decor everywhere. MVMCPs may be sold out, Epcot's Christmas events are occurring. Touring all Deluxe resorts to view displays is well worth it.

With overall crowd levels increasing, there probably isn't much of a difference.

We did the first two weeks of November in 2010 and it was wonderful. We were able to enjoy the F&WF and see Christmas come to life in the parks. Weather the second week was perfect Florida weather, just what we had hoped for. (The weather the previous week was another story.) Crowds were excellent except for the weekend at Epcot because it was the end of the festival. I would go at this time of year without a second thought.

Thanks for all of the input!! I dont want to completely sacrifice the Christmas decorations but December seems too far away lol!! WIll the castle lights at least be up? Will the MVMCP be less crowded than in December?

Castle lights will be turned on a few nights before MVMCP begins. Most of the Parties have been selling out... so depending on the night you choose, it may be lighter. Tuesday would be a great choice for the Party.

We are looking to go probably the 2nd week in Nov 2015, but I did consider December instead. The one thing you will want to be aware of is that Pop Warner Football will be there the first part of Dec., which could make the value resorts crowded. **************.net has a good breakdown. I would post the link, but I don't have permissions yet...

The two weeks appear to be pretty close in terms of crowds when looking at crowd calendars (4's, 5's, 6's) so all things being pretty much equal I'd pick December over November simply because it's decorated for Christmas.

You won't have the CP and Holidays Around the World at EPCOT until after Thanksgiving and the MK tree won't be up until after the parade taping. I would say December.
