Can someone tell me about the crowds the second week of Dec?
Are the Christmas crowds there already?

Also, is it still beach weather?

I'll be there December 5th thru the 11th. From everything I've read, early December is light crowds (Christmas vacationers not there yet and Thanksgiving ones gone) Most people say attractions have short or no lines, with the really popular ones having waits of about 10-15 minutes.

As for the weather -- could go either way or both they say. Could be 80, could be 50, but chances are it'll be pretty cool to COLD at night. My cousin goes that time of year and she packs gloves and hats! Sometimes she needs them, sometimes she doesn't.

This is our first time going the 2nd week of Dec, we usually go the first week. (We'll be there Dec 8-12 this year)

From everything I've read, that week is still relatively slow - most kids are still in school. It doesn't start getting busy til it gets closer to the schools being out for the holidays.

As far as the weather, its hard to say. For our three trips in Dec, it was cold our first trip; cool on our second trip; and for our third trip, the first two days was rather warm, but then it turned cold!!!
We'll probably bring jeans & a t-shirt for the day, and jackets or sweatshirts if needed at night. If you go to weather.com before your trip, they do a 10 day forecast, and you can know what to expect!

Have a great trip!!

I guess I just wanted to hear that it's a possibility we can also go to the beach.

This is me and DH's comprimise : I get a few days of WDW and he gets a few days at the beach. Our little ones will be in heaven.

The second week of December is among the best times of year to visit WDW, IMHO. The park attendance is usually very low and the holiday decorations are absolutely beautiful. The holiday crowds have yet to arrive and there are so many extra activities going on that it really gets you in the holiday spirit.

As for the weather, it is hit or miss. I've been there during the first two weeks of Dec. on 7 occasions and have seen it is high as 85 and as low as 45 (at night). It usually doesn't rain much but I would recommend bringing a jacket (and gloves depending on the climate you are use to) for the evenings as the temperature drops once the sun goes down. I usually pack a mix of summer and fall attire for this time of year as we have purchased both shorts and heavy sweatshirts while there during this time of year.
