As they say, all good things must come to an end and so concluded our cruise
This picture pretty much sums up how we felt - sad, sad, sad (oh and tired and in desperate need of a comb or hat
)
We had already decided the previous night that we were going to skip out on breakfast and just head directly off the ship as soon as they allowed. Which means there was only one thing left to do ... take final pictures on our verandah of course (oh yeah and brush our hair!)
Once we checked, re-checked and triple checked our stateroom to make sure nothing of importance was left behind we made our way off the ship. Getting our luggage was a piece of cake and it only took us a few minutes to get through customs
From there we were led directly to a Disney bus and were on our way to WDW! Those cruise tears were short lived, let me tell ya
It wasn't long before we were zooming past my favorite sign in the whole wide world
See, I told ya we were zooming. This poor picture has everything to do with going way over the speed limit and nothing to do with the fact that I was not prepared to take the picture and was actually digging my camera out of its bag as we were approaching the sign
We made 4 stops and then sat there wondering if we were on the right bus because there was nobody else there but us. Almost as if he could read our minds the bus driver said final stop coming up next ... whew!
And then the moment we had been waiting for (well, besides waiting for the cruise and eating at Palo and going to Castaway Cay and ... well you get the point
). Ahem, as I was saying, we pulled through these fancy gates
And I think I might have had butterflies in my belly. I couldn't believe we were actually going to be staying at the Grand Floridian. Seriously, I didn't think we would ever be able to afford it here. Who cares if it was only for one night and only because we were lucky enough to receive a super awesome pin code!
Upon pulling up we were greeted by one of the bell hops (is that what they're called
) who carried all our luggage inside for us and made sure somebody came to the counter to help us.
I wish I would have remembered the CMs name because she was so nice and pleasant and made sure to make us feel extremely welcome. It only took a few minutes for her to get us checked in before we were being escorted off to our room.
And what a room it was!
Heaven I tell ya! And the room? Well it was nothing compared to the view!
Wait a second ... did I forget to mention we were upgraded from a standard view to a theme park view
After resting in our room for about 45 seconds
we made our way over to the monorail to head off to our favorite park ...
