2Fer Ticket Question

My parents live in the Anaheim area, and we are going to be visiting them next month. I know with the 2Fer promotion someone can purchase up to 8 tickets with valid ID, but can she purchase tickets for us (we live in MN), as long as she is there to use a ticket and show her ID? Or will all of us be asked for ID?

Just went with my two Utah friends last weekend and as long as there is one Southern California resident in the party, you'll get your tickets.
