2BR lock off

Hi - we typically rent points so we don't have a lot of experience with DVC reservations. Can you specifically reserve a 2BR lock off vs a regular 2BR?

Yes they are separate booking categories.

At BWV there are no dedicated 2BRs, all are lock-offs, and Poly has no 2BRs except for the ultra-expensive bungalows. At the other WDW resorts a lock-off is a separate booking category from a dedicated 2BR. At AKV, dedicated 2BRs are only in the Kidani building because Jambo has only lock-offs.

As noted when you make the reservation you get one or the other. One can't request the other in this situation.

Make sure you are specific - is it merely a preference but if not available, the other two bedroom will work, or do you only want the room type you want.

Something to note: dedicated 2BR sometimes has a different layout than lock off. At BCV, to get a 2BR with 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom, you need to book "dedicated". Just need to do your homework.

But not all dedicated at BCV have two queens in the second bedroom. Some are too small for two queen beds, so they have one queen bed and a double sleeper sofa. Some of the second bedrooms for dedicated two bedroom villas at BCV are smaller than the others. Only 25 have two queen beds.

I was thinking it was a queen pullout in the 2/3 of "dedicated 2 BR" at BCV rather than a full sized (love seat).

But it's also a booking category. So at BCV, there are three categories of 2BRs: lock-off, dedicated with 2Q, and dedicated with a queen bed & a sleeper sofa.
