Just an FYI: I just got round trip tickets from IAD (Washington-Dulles) to MCO for $29 each way on DING for May!!!

That's $155 with taxes and fees for two people TOTAL!!!!

Hopefully someone else can take advantage of this great offer too!

What are Dings?

They're special offers from Southwest Airlines - basically you download a program that lets you know when special offers are available, and you click on a link to buy them. It's a great way to find cheap airfare!

If you're interested in downloading DING!, you just go to the southwest website.

Hope this helps.

We're going late April and I got $29 on the way down...$69 the way back. So total for 5 of us $580 still very good.

Thanks for the info! I wasn't home this a.m. to check the Ding. DH and I gave it some serious thought, but we'd have to stay the night before (since the $29 flight is at 7am) and we'd have to rent a car for 10 days and pay for parking. It's till cheaper for us to drive..unless maybe they come out with a $29 Ding for July 4th too.

I've alrady PM'd one person who has posted here, but in case they don't read my PM, can someone let me know the effective dates and what time this offer expires?

I'm in the office and we are not allowed to download anything not authorized by my employer. My DSis and I are going down to WDW 4/25 - 5/5.

Please PM me if you can check this for me. I'll be home in an hour and will try to get this airfare if the offer doesn't expire first.

ETA - Someone is checking this for me. Thanks all!!!

I saw that and can only say WOW! I've never seen a fare for $29!!

I have been SOOO hesitent to book my South West flights from IAD to MCO for our late July and Early Aug flights now for $80/each way each person.... I want the really early flight leaving and the late flight returning, were you able to get your times you really wanted since you waited for a ding?

REL1203,

Yes, I booked the 7:30 a.m. flight on the way down and the 4:30 p.m. flight on the way back, which I believe is the earliest and latest Southwest runs the IAD-MCO route, at least on a Tuesday (which is when I booked). So I got the times I wanted without any trouble (the other flight each day was also available at the same price). I did, just out of curiosity, look at Mondays, and the ding for Mondays was $64. Tuesday was $29. Didn't look at any other days. Hope this helps.

This was AWESOME! I already had my airfare booked, but was able to extend my trip. I was going from a Sunday - Friday. But now we're going Sat to Sat for only $29 each way. I now have a $250 credit to use with Southwest for the future. ALSO, I didn't have enough DVC points to extend it two days, so I used my Disney Visa rewards and booked the last night at the All Stars (it's just to sleep in so it doesn't matter too much to me). With the Visa Rewards it's FREE! WOO HOO!

Also, I didn't have to book the 7AM flight - I got both in the afternoon!

WOW! Oh How I wish this was through August... 29$ is awesome

I would easily drive the 3 hours north to DC to fly to MCO! for less than 500.00 for 6 people!

Congrats everyone...

Thanks for posting this :thumbsup2 ! I was able to book 3 Sat to Sat roundtrip tickets for $231.90!!! Now, I have to pray I can make a DVC reservation for my dates :rotfl2: ...

We got it too! We weren't going to disney this year, but with airfare like that who can resist. Now we just have to decide where we are staying. Timeshare or All Stars?

I've seen some $29 fares to MCO from CLE, but there's not been any for return flights. Are you all seeing $29 both ways? Also, I have only seen the $29 fare for Wednesday travel.

OF COURSE I had to miss this because I am not home during the day. But I'm betting it wasn't good for weekends anyway.

I'm so sorry you missed this. I nearly did because I can't use DING at work, but I was able to get the $29 airfare for both my sister and me when I got home at 4 PM. I had already steeled myself for the bad news that the fare was already sold out, so I was shocked  that we actually got it.

We are flying on a Wednesday and a Saturday, and we got the Saturday fare for $29. I don't know whether or not we would have gotten this incredible fare if we were flying weekend-to-weekend. This is our first time flying SWA, so until your post I didn't even think that Saturday DING fares might have been treated differently. Thankfully, for us they weren't.
