You can choose whatever check number you want as far as the check printing company is concerned. I don't know it the banks care or not... I have always kept my number series going.

They will ask you what # you want them to start at.

The last time I bought checks was in 2005 from Checks Unlimited I can't remember how much I paid but usually Checks Unlimited has good pricing. I don't use many checks but I will have to probably order more in about 6 months.

I get my checks from checks in the mail. They always have a coupon right on their home page for $1 off a box of checks. They offer options for shipping. You can pay an extremely high amount if you want them delivered quickly. I always choose the slowest option because it is the cheapest and they still get here in a week. I just got a box of checks and 144 address labels for $15. They have a great selection too. Tons of Disney ones!
