$25 towards anything Disney-- free with Disney Visa

How does this work? I would gladly use their Visa to accrue credit. Do you know how you redeem the "credits"?

I just noticed the offer while I was looking around on Disney's site. I don't know any more information than they've posted there.

If you have a Disney visa you can earn reward point towards Disney store, WDW, Disney cruise and Disneyland. You get 1% of what you spend (Example: spend $100. you receive $1 in reward points). You can only earn $750. per year in points. We are putting ours towards our cruise, spa, palos etc.. So far we have $260!! It adds up fast.

I signed up a few months ago, and am still waiting for my dream dollars. First time I called, they said they would show on my statement along with my first purchase. When they did not show up I called back and was told it takes a couple of billing cycles for them to show up. And, it is my understanding that once they do show up, you must call to redeem them, and they will send you a gift card type thing to use for Disney purchases.

So, the moral of the story - plan WAY ahead if you want to use these for an upcoming trip.

How do you get the credit on your account for cruise stuff such as tips or Palo?

I would like to hear from someone who has actually redeemed these Disney Dollars. It seems like they always make you go through so many hoops that you can't really use their "Rewards" after all.

I had $129 of credit. I called in May and they sent me a nice little card that is reloadable. All of my $ were on it and I just went to guest services and had it placed on my account. Now I am thinking of using the card for groceries, etc. and just taking the $ out of the checking right away. Our major thing this year was I used it for a hot tub, then 3 days later paid it off with a much lower rate card, but still got the $66.

We just ordered it online and it showed up a week or so later. We use it all the time to buy food when we go to DL. Very easy!!!

I have redeemed the Disney Reward Dollars onboard this past February. As others have said once you have a certain amount of Reward dollars accrued you can have them transferred to a reloadable Disney Reward dollars card.

I just gave DCL Guest Service the card and they credited my onboard account with amount on it.

You can view, manage and transfer your reward dollars at their website. As soon as I start accuring more reward dollars I transfer them over to the card via the website.

I just got a flyer in the mail that they are starting a double reward dollar program where each month your visa account is over $100 (that is way to easy to do) you get 2% earned dollars instead of 1%. I think it is lasting a whole year.

The fine print did say your bonus reward dollars (the extra 1%) points would not be posted until several weeks after the promotion ended.

Note: These Visa Disney Reward Dollars are not to be confused with the Disney Dollars that are sold at the Disney Stores...they are two totally different things.

I used mine at WDW last year and it was no problem at all. We used the card to make various purchases and the cashiers were all aware of how they worked and even circled the remaining dollar amount on the receipt so that we knew exactly waht we had left. I will be using my rewards dollars this year at the MK the day before my cruise. It ought to cover our character breakfast, our daughter's ticket, lunch, and a souveneir or two.

Yes, the rewards dollars work!

Couple things to watch out for:
Reward points in your ACCOUNT don't expire for years (at least 5), however, once you call and have them transfer your rewards out of your account and onto your card, they expire with the card (I believe at the end of the year). Any dollars not redeemed on the card are lost.

You can transfer reward points from your account onto the card at any time - like another poster said, over the web or VIA phone. However, this does not change the expiration date of the card. If you were to transfer points to the card a day before it expires, you would have to use them that day or you would loose them.

Other than that, I believe you can use the rewards card just like a debit card to access the reward dollars you currently have on it.

We have just redeemed our points for our trip in August and the hoops didn't seem to extreme to jump through.
