Has anyone heard of this? I called the DC line to book our June trip and happen to mention that we were going to be there the end of December. She said if I book our room while we're there, we would get 25% off. I thought she said it would be in addition to the discount from the Disney Club, but not positive. I know should have asked her for sure but didn't think about it until after I hung up.

I just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about this. Maybe I shouldn't wait and just go ahead and book with the DC since I might not get what I want. We also have PAPs, so I'm hoping they will have discounts again next June.

TIA!

Yes, you will receive 25% off if you book your next WDW vacation while you are at WDW in December. We were there in November and were offered 40% off if we booked again during our stay.

Any word if this applies to January stays?? You have to call and book through DC from your room??

Thanks for sharing the Info. I would have never known that!

The Dis is such a wealth of information!

Is this only if you are a DC member. Is this good if you are going again in the summer months?
Thanks

Note this is not something that is always in play and in the past it has had nothing to do with Disney Club per se -- you just set up your next visit through your resort while there.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if you have to call from your room or can I call from my cell phone? Also do you get the 25% off in addition to the DC discount?

Kellyh123, It's good for the summer months because I told her we were going in June.

Do you have to reserve at the same hotel you are staying at? In other words, can I make a reservation for Port Orleans Riverside for July, if I'm staying at Beach Club Villas in January?

Certifiable WDW Nut, I asked this same question when she told me about the discount, because we are staying at Music and next June we want to stay at a moderate or deluxe. She told me we could book any WDW resort and that it didn't matter where we were staying.

I cant believe after all the time I have spent on these boards, I never knew this. ;) Thanks for the info. :D

That is so cool! I will have to remember that when we are down there in February! Thank you!!!!!!!!

...that we received a card on our door during our stay at the Poly offering us the 40% discount I mentioned above. There was a misprint on some of the cards, though, as the discount was only supposed to be 25% through the end of December and 40% from January-on. I don't know if the people who get cards are the only ones to receive the discount or if anyone who is staying in a resort can get it if they book before they leave. I say this because I received a postcard yesterday to complete an online survey and one of the things mentioned was that I had recieved a card on my door and they wanted to know if I had booked a room for 2003.

DeeCeeSW, So are you saying if I book in December for a June stay, I'll get 25% off the room rate and if I book in January for our June stay, I'll get 40% off? If so, we will be there from December 29 through January 5th, so it would be better to book in January.

Let me know if I'm understanding you correctly.

I'm bumping this up since it is being discussed on another thread.

So, if I book my September trip when I am there in May, I will get 25% off? Is this off the rack rate? Since I have an annual pass, it may be better to wait for the AP rates?

Yo!!! How is this not the most discussed topic on these boards!?!?! I have been living on these boards practically and had no idea about this. Could somebody who really knows the process behind this whole booking while you are already there, please share all the details of how this works. This would be a great discount alternative!

Thanks in advance!!! :bounce:

When did this start? Was it always like this? When we were in the CR July, I was so sad we were leaving that the day before we left I made ressies for our next stay for this coming July & the CM never mentioned it. Is it too late for me to get this discount... Any one know anything about this??? Thanks

Is this all year round??? We are going in March and would possibly like to book for Sept. If anyone has details...please let me know

I think I will mention this again: this is NOT always available (and when it is is entirely up to Disney so you won't find a pattern -- but more likely when they are experiencing some downturn and are heavily into getting people to reserve). How old is it? The first time I learned of it was in 1988 when it was offered to us when staying at the Poly (it could have existed before then but I did not know about it). All you have to do is reserve when there and front desk personnel should be able to help you. Also, it is 25% off regular rates-- no other discounts can be applied.

Momto8, sorry it's taken me so long to respond. We are getting the 40% off regular rates only because of a Disney error on the postcard they put on our door at the Poly. It should have said 25%, but said 40%, and these cards were not to be put on doors until January and after. They have to honor their offer despite the mistake, so we will book for November 2003 in the next couple of days.

We spent 6 days in Disney before Christmas and split our stay between the Poly and AKL. We received a coupon under our door at the Poly on Dec. 20, that stated 25% off rack rates for most dates in 2003. It just said "hurry this offer expires soon".

Well we moved over to the AKL for the last 3 days. While at AKL, I called CRO to try and make ressies using the 25% off code for our Easter trip. He said the code had expired on Dec 21st. We checked out of the Poly on December 22nd. Boy, they were right it really did expired quickly...one day. I called the Poly back and told them that I was still on site on wanted to use that code or any code to get my 25% off. He said he couldn't help me anymore since I had already checked out of the Poly, but not to worry, I would receive a new code at the AKL two days before check-out.

Well, we were checking out the next day so I called the front desk to inquire about this 25% off rack rate code. The CM said he had no idea what I was talking about and even put me on hold to ask his supervisor. He came back on the phone and said they had no knowledge of such a promotion and that the Poly must have been participating in an isolated program.

I was a little ticked off. No discount for me. I guess the Dolphin will receive my business next time.
