24hour restaurants on I95

Does anyone know of any fast food restaurants that are open 24-hours along I95? DBF and I drove down last year from Jersey and had a hard time finding somewhere that looked safe to make quick bathroom stops in the middle of the night. We're looking for easy on/easy off kind of places.

Just about any National Name truck stop will be open and the big name ones generally have clean well lighted rest rooms. Truck Stops of America, Flying J, etc are the better ones.

There is a great book you can order from Barnes & Noble on-line (at least that's where I got mine) called "The Next Exit". It lists every store, restaurant, gas station, hospital, police, etc. for every exit along every interstate hwy for the entire country. I think I paid about $13 for it 3 years ago & I think it is updated yearly.

Waffle House, Huddle House, and Denny's are open 24 hours. They aren't fast food places, though, but rather sit-down diners. At least they'll be open and have restrooms.

Krystal's are open 24 hours -- it's the southern version of White Castle -- but I'm not sure of any along I-95.

Waffle House will make you something to go. We (at least) order tea or coffee when we stop in to use the restrooms. The kids usually want something to nibble on also.

Is there a problem with the rest areas? they always seem safe to me, and theres often a patrol car there also, particularly the welcome centers. Otherwise, I'd go with the truck stops, big, with fast food and convenience stores inside.(If you go to the websites Flyingj.com, petrotruckstops.com.,pilotcorp.com, tatravelcenters.com, etc, they list whats there and tell you where they are, and even fuel prices.)
