Has anyone seen any announcements on this years 24 hour event on Memorial Day weekend? Hopefully they will do it again. We had a great time last year. If they haven't announced yet, does anyone recall about what time last year they made the announcement? We need to make reservations.

I haven't seen any announcements of a 24 hour event this year. Lots of us have speculated that it would happen and that Disney would repeat this on Memorial Day, but that's based on nothing official that I know about.

Now lets do some more speculating:
Disneyland will celebrate its 60th birthday on July 17, 2015. There will be lots of special events out on the west coast to observe that milestone. I'm thinking it likely that WDW will join in on the celebration and hold a 24 hour event on that day.

I read something (Micechat, maybe) about a 60-hour event at Disneyland for the 60th anniversary, but the same article also mentioned that it might just be a 24-hour event. I wish I could go!

I was having dinner with a DL CM friend of mine on Sunday and he said that they are planning the 24 hour party in May to kick off the 60th anniversary party. (I asked him why they didn't celebrate things for 18 month like WDW does and he just had a bewildered look upon his face.)

I would not be surprised in the least to see WDW match DLR's 24 hour party. They are so much fun.

Yes that's the rumor but I believe Disneyland officials are looking at the logistics of it and thinking of sticking to just 24 instead. 60 hours of operation is a lot especially for Disney.
