24 Desserts and 124 Food Pics!! A June 2011 Dining Report**Pics Back & Complete 8/17

My mom got this Fantasmic platter with bread, brie, grapes, apples, and three chocolate covered strawberries. That looks so good!!! I want to say it was about $14 but I am not entirely sure. This would be the perfect late night dinner and this is exactly what it was for her.

I was wondering also, I know I read about them having something like this in DL but did not know about the one a Fantasmic

Your breakfast at 1900 Park Fare looks like it was good :) That meal was my very first character meal I ever had in Disney when I went for the first time when I was 8 years old, so I remember it fondly. I don't remember the food at all, but I remember that Alice wasn't there so she sent us a signed picture instead. I still have it!

That strawberry soup looks really good!

Geez I am on a roll today! This counter service meal is only me, I apologize. I walked all the way to Pizza Planet from Tower of Terror just because I wanted Pizza Planet. I go there every trip.

I got the pepperoni pizza. I love this pizza. The crust is so doughy and yeasty and I actually really like Disney pizza! I know a lot of people don't though.

The combo comes with a side caesar salad, which is also very good. Crisp lettuce and just enough dressing.

Now this is where the real treat comes in! They had special Star Wars cupcakes for Star Wars weekend. They only had one kind though. It was a chocolate peanut butter Darth Vadar cupcake. It was $3.99. Dessert #11. I knew the cupcake would be too much for me to finish but I got it anyways because it was new to me and the only other thing I would get there is the Mickey Rice Krispie treat.

Wow!!! This thing was massive!! I swear it weighed two pounds..Lol!

I literally only ate a couple bites of this. It was way too chocolatey and too sweet. The chocolate peanut butter frosting was good and most of what I ate was the frosting.

Me and my son (12) LOVE Pizza Planet!!! The rest of our family usually goes to ABC Commisary but Will and I always always leave them for Pizza Planet because we love the pizza too!

We love Starring Rolls also - we always get breakfast there every trip to Hollywood Studios.

Our first ever on-site meal was breakfast at 1900 Park Faire - we have not been back since (that was 2004) but you have just reminded me how good the strawberry soup was :thumbsup2

Great review of 1900 PF! :thumbsup2

I hope they sort out the door situation soon but the food all looks delish.

I am really enjoying your posts. Great!

Thank you for reading!!!!!

I'm not entirely sure where it is from but you can get in the Fantasmic theatre somewhere at a food stand.

Yep! It is in the Fantasmic theatre somewhere.

It was sooo yummy! Best ever! Thats crazy that you can remember when you were 8, I have a horrible memory.

Glad I am not the only one that will go out of their way for Pizza Planet, lol!

I normally do get breakfast at Starring Rolls too (a eclair) but this time I didn't and I was sad

Great review of 1900 PF! :thumbsup2

It was super good. The door situation isn't a big thing but it was just kinda weird.

All caught up again - and feeling hungry! :rotfl:

Me too!!! Writing this is not good when I am hungry. Haha!

Another great review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your breakfast. My family is going to eat here on our next trip and I can't wait!

Today was Sunshine Seasons for lunch! This morning was stressful because my brother and I got to Epcot first and the rest of my family took their good old time getting there. By noon I walked from The Land to the front of the park 5 times so I could get their tickets and get fastpasses for them! When I went to return their cards they already left to head back to the Land!

After this visit I realized the only reason I love Sunshine Seasons is for their desserts! Their entrees don't really wow me here.

Being that I was still full from breakfast I decided to get a salad here. I ordered the Goat Cheese Salad with Roasted beets, hold the beets. The worker was like mad at me when she heard I didn't want beets. She was like,
"But thats the whole point of the salad." I knew that but I dont like beets so I didn't want them on. Haha! The price of this was $7.89.

This was super yummy! I didn't love the dressing which was a honey shallot??? dressing but it was okay. I love goat cheese and it was perfect mixed with those nuts that were on top! Yum! Perfect if you aren't too full.

For dessert I got the creme brulee. Dessert #12! I love the creme brulee here because it is the perfect consistency, I like when creme brulee is more firm, which is what it is here. But this creme brulee had a runny top as if the brulee part melted. It needed to be retorched.

Dad got the Sweet N Sour chicken. I do not think this is good but I think he said it was good.
DisneyJune2011336.jpg

He got the key lime pie which looks very mushy.
DisneyJune2011340.jpg

Everyone else got the same entree but Jessica got the Strawberry Shortcake dessert. I tried a bite of this and it was very good. I think I might get it next time!
DisneyJune2011337.jpg

Josh got the cheesecake topped with cherries I believe. Not entirely sure.

Sunshine Seasons was a good lunch this time but next time I think I will get Tangierine Cafe then head to Sunshine Seasons just for dessert!

We ate at the Sunshine Seasons during our first WDW trip in 2007 but I don't remember much about it. If I had seen that strawberry shortcake then, I definitely would have gotten that. It looks soooo good! Your dad's entre looks yummy this time :goodvibes. What is coating the walnuts in your beet(less) salad?

You've taken great pictures of your meals and I love reading your reviews. Thanks for doing this report. :thumbsup2

I agree with you about the entrees at Sunshine Seasons only being so/so. We didnt care for the key lime pie, loved, loved, loved the Strawberry Shortcake and the Triple Chocolate cake their though. Still reading along and enjoying all your write ups!

That poor key lime pie is melting in the Florida heat :lmao:

There are very few items from SS that I like..in fact just three

1. Breakfast only, the croissant berry bread pudding
2. Veggie Cuban
3. Strawberry Shortcake

The exact Q I asked the other day on the boards was: SSeasons or World Showcase? Tons of people said try Tangierine Cafe.SO I never thought of this but I think I'll have to give it a try as well. Those deserts WILL be our stop when getting off soarin'!

I've had that salad before, with the beets though, lol, I agree it's very yummy!

Just found your food review :thumbsup2 fantastic pictures. I have had to have a bowl of soup to keep the hunger pangs at bay. Luuuurrrve butterfingers on anything so that strawberry look amazing. Cant wait to get back to the US to get more butterfingers :worship:

Am glad you enjoyed your salad as that is what I'm thinking of ordering on our trip. Will def be getting the Strawberry Shortcake - can't wait to try that! :thumbsup2

It bothers me when servers criticize your food preferences! It's frustrating. I hate ranch dressing, and have ordered chicken ranch burgers without the ranch and gotten the same exact response that you got.

But those desserts do look very tasty! I think I would go for the strawberry shortcake :goodvibes

I think the coating is like a sugary coating. It was very good! I would love to just snack on those walnuts! Thanks for the positive words. I love doing this!!

I definitely want to get the Strawberry Shortcake next time. Are you from Heidelberg, Germany???

That is my plan too! Sunshine Seasons has great desserts but thats about it I have come to realize. I really want to try the new Mexico counter service too!

I looove goat cheese!!!

Lol on the bowl of soup! This does make me hungry too. I wish I could go to Disney right now to eat again! I can't believe the UK doesn't have butterfingers. Do they have anything similar?

I agree too but she was foreign so maybe that had something to do with it??
