Okay I messed up big time! I am bringing 23 youth to FL for a mission trip and back in Sept we decided to have dinner at Chef Mickey... One problem I forgot to call!!!:scared1:

So basically I am screwed!

We are not going into any parks so I am looking for a good restaurant for 23 people of which 18 are in high school.

I was able to make a dinner ressie for 1900 park fare but I am not sure how we will do with Cindy and friends and High School boys.

So what are your suggestions???

When does T-Rex open?

I probably wouldn't do a princess meal with 18 year old boys.

How about Boma at AKL? Food is fantastic and it's a fun resort to walk around and visit while you are there-lots of great spots to view the animals!

I think I would try downtown disney. Make a reservation at say... Rain Forest Cafe.. and then whoever want to eat there can and whoever wants to explore and do other things can do that too.
Good Luck

We have rain forest here at the mall of America so it is not a big deal.

What about O'hana?

I would suggest 'Ohana. If you time it right you might be able to see the fireworks.

are there still cancellation threads on here? I am looking but I can't find it. May be if I watch every day I could get in??

But I guess I am dreaming when I need seats for 23:rotfl2:

I think you'd be able to accomodate everyone's tastes at that buffet and while you might be split into groups perhaps you could still score a reservation there. Worth a try - the Boardwalk area is nice and more contained than trying to manage a large group of teens at DTD...?

Good luck,

We will be in the Orlando area June 22 and 23

I was trying to do Chef Mickey's because the kids still wanted to see Mickey / Disney.

I also wanted Ressie somewhere so that we were not wondering around trying to figure it out while we are there.

If you have suggestions for out of the world I would be welcome to hear them but I still am leaning towards Disney right now.

Thank you for all your suggestions... keep them coming!

When I was a senior in high school I went with my band. They just kind of dropped us off in DTD. They gave us a time to meet back up with them. I went with a group of about 8 kids to rain forest cafe. I think most of the students just did CS. We had a great time, and we felt very independant.

There is also a character meal at either the Swan or Dolphin. You may want to check into that. I would think it may be easier to get into than some of the other resort character meals - good luck!

Oh, I don't know. Can't you just picture the fuss Anastasia and Drizella would make over all those boys? It'd either be really funny or really embarrassing.:rotfl:

Why not call Disney Dining and just ask if there's anything available? The number is: 407-WDW-DINE

yeah, whispering canyon with a crew of kids would be a blast. Yep, that gets my vote, we love the staff interaction.

I agree with this post. Stop asking others, because we're all going to recommend great places to eat, but the reality is you need to call special dining and ask them what your choices are for a group that size. Post back and warn us.....I mean let us know where they suggest you go.

I have called the wdw dine-line 3 times and I have done the group dinning line. They are not helpful! I have asked if they can just tell me what is available and they have told me no.

I have not ate at every WDW restaurant so I did not know which were suitable for teenagers...was looking for advice from those that could help me think outside of Chef Mickey's. I also wanted to know if 1900 park fare seemed appropriate.

Thank you for the whispering canyon idea. I had only ate there for lunch so I didn't even think about it for dinner. I am on hold now and I will let you know what I find out.

Thanks everyone for your help.

I cant even try to make reservations at Whispering Canyon until the 27th because the group ressie person for that restaurant is on vacation!!!!
