It is $179 before all the taxes, which then comes to $227. This is for 7 days. Good enough to book or can I do better?

This is with Budget and it is an economy car (the cheapest).

Depends. When are you traveling? Have you searched all of the rental companies?

I have a $129 for seven days with Budget. This is in Nov/Dec. I used a combination of codes from Mousesavers. The total after fees and taxes is $189. I have tried all the other rental sites with various codes and this is by far the best rate but I will keep checking up until we go.

I used a code from Mousesavers. Can you combine them?

I don't think that price is horrible for a week. Keep checking, because you never know, but I wouldn't feel bad at that price.

I think it's too high! I just got 7 days in mid June for $145. Pick up at MCO, mid-size.
I use Priceline for cars. You end up getting Budget, Dollar, or Alamo anyway. I paid $12 per day, plus taxes (which are outrageous).

How does that work with Priceline... does it let you pick the time for pick-up? Our flight arrives at 10:30 p.m.

Yes, it lets you choose the size you want, where you pick up, drop off, the time down to the half hour. Go ahead and look at the website. You can punch everything in before you commit to anything....I think that is what scared me the first time I used it...I was worried I would get something I didn't want. I checked all the rental websites first to get an idea of prices.

But it really is the same. When we went to the airport last time, we just went to the self-kiosk, completed the transaction, and went about our way. We were treated the same as the other customers, but I know we paid a lot cheaper than some of them!

We just booked a car for the second time. The first time we paid $11/day for an October visit, Sanfors airport, 7 days.
The only downfall I could see to Priceline is that it is non-refundable....but so are our plane tickets, so if we can't make the trip, we are out a good amount. :scared1:
Good luck!

We arrive June 9th

You can do better! Bookings seem soft for June with the rental car outfits at MCO. Prices have been dropping the closer to date you get.

I just got $95 per week + taxes for arrival on June 13 with Payless (off site, ride shuttle). No special codes.

Edit to add: Just ran June 9 to 16 (2pm arrival and 1:30pm return just for argument's sake) through Priceline (not bidding... just a regular rental car bookings). Price is $87 for the week, plus tax, for a total of $135. Run the search and click on the right to show more results. Again it is with Payless, riding the shuttle.

oooooooooooooooo, I need help too, im a big committment chicken and I cant figgure this car renta thing out........friend will be dropping us off at our condo in WDW so she can drop us at any car rental spot, please help me grab adeal, and help me understand the deal,lol... we will be in disney July 11 to 20, but if car is cheaper or better deal, we really only need it July 11 to 18 before we stay on property!

Thanx so much car rental GURUs!!!

Pick car up near WDW July 11 and return at MCO July 20 or anywhere close to any park in WDW July 18........cheapest, smallest car, just myself and DD7

I went to the Alamo site and they are having last minute specials from June 1st through the 7th on rentals from June 1-15. Got mine for $161 after taxes. Thought that was a good rate.

Hotwire has "in terminal rentals" starting at $9.95 a day, midsize was only $10.95 for the second week in June.

I hope they have deals like that when I go at the end of July, because I will definitely jump on that. I've never gone to Disney for a whole week, without a rental. :scared1:

But I refuse to pay $40 a day for one, so I may be experiencing a rental free vacation. :rotfl2:

I went to hotwire but not sure how to search for in terminal rates? Is Alamo located at SFB or is it off site?

If you go to Hotwire it says right next to the price per day whether the rental agency is "in the terminal" or or not. Just checked SFB, it's alot more money to rent through there over renting through MCO. :scared1:

I gotta love being able to rebook at cheaper rates! :cool1: Mine just dropped to $83 per week + tax for arrival June 13!

If only i could rebook airfares without penalty.

Snap up the best pre-booked reservation you can and then try to lower it just a littel more with Priceline at the last minute.
