22 Sept 2012. First Sailing Out Of Galveston, TX

All checked in and two excursions booked! We're planning on sting ray city in Grand Cayman, ruins in Costa Maya, and not sure for cozumel. Any ideas?

Rien, I updated your info! Thank you.

We decided to go with the mexican cooking class in cozumel! We also decided to treat ourselves to Palo brunch on our 2nd sea day. 97 days until we cruise!!!

About 90 days to go!! I'm hoping with this new discount offer (book a verendah at oceanview price) that there will be more people joining us! It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Anchorage with temps in the 70s!

I can't believe how quiet this thread is! Every time I change the number on my count-down calendar, I get all giddy!

Well, we already had a verandah room booked, so I was kind of bummed to see this was only for new reservations. Mentioned it to hubs and he was like, "Call them anyway, see if they'll give us some extra OBCs or something."

Y'all, the girl I spoke with was SO nice, didn't make me feel like a cheapskate (my main fear about calling), she liaised with customer service and they applied the promotion to our existing reservation! We're keeping our original stateroom and getting almost $900 refunded since our original ressie was already paid in full. Happy day!!!!

If you already have a reservation, call the number on the DCL website and see if you can get the VER promo applied! Never hurts to ask!

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Hi everyone! We are finely back from Fiji and can now concentrate on this cruise. I am very excited about it as well. I see we are on the roll call list already. Could you please also include my cousin and her family. Her name is Anita Saucedo and her DH is Renee. They have a DD 15, Brandy is her name. They are in stateroom #7138

Has anyone started the FE list yet? I tried before I left for Fiji and will be glad to handle it if needed. If someone has a different list please add us to it..thanks

I will definitely add your cousin and family! The more the merrier!

Rien713...you guys are sooooo lucky! Way to go Disney! Sadly we have a secret porthole room, so we won't be trying to change it <sigh>. i'm so glad you guys were abke to get an awesome refund!!

No FE list, except the column in the roll call list. If you'd like to start a lit go for it! Welcome back from Fiji!! Hope you had an awesome trip!

Thanks, we did have an awesome time!

I will be happy to continue with the list.

Anyone wanting to be on the FE list please send me your names and room numbers.

I notice there are now three in this group with 7100 room numbers. Kinda cool to get to know your neighbors (okay, yes lol, I realise that's the whole point of this thread but I didn't expect to find people just a few doors down from ours). :)

Jill, welcome back! And please add us to the FE list. Ashley, Jason and Elena in 7126. Thank you both for keeping up with the lists! I'm the list-maker in my office and at home, so it's nice to have others in charge for a change. =P

Thanks Ashley, I am assuming Elena is a child? If so I need her age. Some people like to give gifts that are age appropriate. I will put you on the FE list. Please send me a PM with the info on it. I can keep up better that way.

Hi Ashley, we will be one of your neighbors!!! Have not had a navigators verandah before, but I think we'll enjoy it. Just think, when we get ready to deliver fe's, we won't have far to walk.:banana:

Made our reservations on Sunday for excursions, massage, mani/pedi, and Palo brunch, another first for us. From looking at some of the threads, the brunch looks way yummy.

Take care. Stay cool!!!

We're doing our first Palo brunch too!! The pictures and reviews looked amazing!

The navigator's verendah is our favorite. You get a great view, a slight breeze, the wonderful sound of the ocean, and it's got just the right amount of enclosure. We also like the navigational chart and other decorations.

For some reason the ipad isn't letting me edit my goigle docs at the moment, but i will update the list as soon as it starts liking me again.

I set it up so that only i can edit the roll call. Just let me know the info and i will make the updates! Hopefully i will be able to update it tomorrow night after VBS (9:00ish pm AK time).

Come on vacation get here quicker!

Hi Ladies... I just popped in to say hello.... and....:banana::banana: Let's get this party started! party:party:

The roll call has the most up to date information that I have received. If you would like me to add room numbers, or join the FE just let me know and I will add the info to the list. Also, if you have any family members not on disboards, but that are traveling with you just let me know and I will gladly add them to the roll call.

2 months 3 weeks and 2 days!!!!!!!!!

I purchased stuff to get started on our FE gifts yesterday! I can't wait to get started, and I sure hope they turn out alright. Only 2 months and 3 weeks until we cruise!

While I was out shopping yesterday (birthday shopping for Clint), I also stopped by Build A Bear (that's a dangerous store). I purchased some new traveling clothes for Walt (my bear that I made in DTD CA with Mickey Ears all over him). He is the proud new owner of a pirate outfit (including hat) for Pirate night, and a beach outfit for the cruise! I told the saleswoman that my husband thinks I'm crazy, and she just responded "well, it's cheaper than Zales, Coach, or therapy!"

Sarah,

Was there positive response for the lanyards?

Another disboards tradition for cruising is having customized lanyards printed for all disboarders and their families/friends cruising with them. It's really cool to walk around the ship wearing specialized lanyards, and they make for great conversation starters!

*My husband and I are back to back cruising (western caribbean followed by Dream Bahamas), and we thought it would be awesome to have lanyards for the cruises. We are being quoted $350-395 for 250 lanyards and badge holders. I was thinking that it would be cheaper to combine the two lanyard orders, having the lanyard read "Magical Dream Cruise 2012" and have seperate badges for the cruises. There are currently 65 people on both cruise meet threads. I think 250 lanyards should be plenty with over 2 months to go until the cruise. I might be able to get only 100-200 if needed. If we were to go through with this, would anyone be willing to donate to the lanyards fund? If you and your family are willing to do so, please PM me. I really hate asking for the possibility of donations, and if it were only $100 or so, it wouldn't be an issue, but $350-400 is a lot.*

We are hoping to go through lanyardslab as the owner, Rick, is also owner of **************, the disney podcast.*

Any thoughts or ideas?! Thanks!

Wha..Wha..WHAT!! you guys are on the Galveston Cruise - I cant wait to Sail-Away with YOU!

We will be sailing too. First timers, Carolyn and Alex. It should be interesting sailing out of Galveston. I was stationed in Corpus Christi for two years back in the 80's. I think the area has changed, Alex
