Hello everybody! I'm turning 21 towards the end of the month, and just found out that I'll be going down to WDW for a weekend to celebrate! :yay::yay::yay:

Since it is my 21st birthday, I've never had any kind of alcoholic beverages at Disney. I don't have a lot of time to plan, but I'd like to do dinner each night at a sitdown place that hopefully has some nice beverages to offer. No, I am not planning on getting wasted at Disney, but it would be nice to have a glass of wine or cocktail with my dinner! ;)

I know MK is a dry park, but what about the other parks, resorts, and downtown disney? We'll be there 9/24-26, so Friday and Saturday nights and probably an early dinner on Sunday since we're driving back to Jacksonville and my boyfriend and I will both have to work in the morning.

Thanks so much for any tips, advice or helpful hints!

If you like tequila I would go to Cava de Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion. They make wonderful margaritas in all different flavors there and you can also do tequila flights.

When my DD was a CP during her 21st birthday, I was down there and we took her to Raglan Road and celebrated. It's a fun atmosphere later in the evening when the band is playing and you can toast the occasion with a "pint."

What a fun way to celebrate! Happy-almost-birthday!

I'd second the Cava margarita, though be careful! They're way strong (and sneaky!). Definitely hit up the France pavilion for a Gray Goose slushie, or if you prefer push-pops to lemon, go with the Grand Marnier slush. Both are delish (again, strong). If F&W is still happening, try the red slush from the France stand. I think it's pomegranate, but I can't quite remember.

Raglan Road is a great suggestion, too. Very fun!

I've read great things about the spiked milkshakes at Sci Fi in Hollywood Studios, and there's a bar in Prime Time Cafe that also gets rave reviews, though I've never had drinks either place.

The Polynesian has a drink in a pineapple, the Lapu Lapu. Again, quite strong, but you can't go wrong with a drink in a pineapple!

Actually, I just don't think you can go wrong! Have fun!

Since you are 21 I def suggest you check out jellyrolls if you have the energy after being in the parks all day

happy birthday

As a person who doesn't drink alcohol, I can't recommend specific drinks. I think Epcot is the best park for "liquid refreshment", with DHS running a close second. The resorts all have nice lounges as well, so if you're at Epcot, check out the Epcot resorts, or from MK, check out one of the monorail resorts. I like the atmosphere at the Territory Lounge at WL also. There is a great view from the bar at the California Grill. Just remember to have a designated driver to get you back to Jacksonville safely when you plan that Sunday dinner.

Thanks so much for your ideas, everyone, I know we'll have a blast (and of course, stay safe). Sadly, F&W will not have started yet, but I can't wait to have different drinks around the world at Epcot! DHS should be great, too. Good tip about the resorts, I'd totally forgotten. We're staying at SSR on borrowed points from a DVC member, any idea if there are any good places over there? I know it's close to downtown disney, too, so Raglan Road might be a definite possibility. Thanks!

I love the lounge at BlueZoo at the Dolphin. You can get some excellent food there & they have the Zooberry Martini, which is out of this world delicious.

DH & I like to head over to the Poly & have a drink & a nosh at the Tambu Lounge & then head over to the Contemporary & have a drink & a nosh at The Wave & then go to see Wishes. We skip the GF because Mizner's is a little too quiet for us. We may try the bar at Narcoossees next time tho.

We never go to DTD now that they nixed Pleasure Island :sad2: so I don't know what your options are there. I have always wanted to try Bongos & Paradisio 37 looks good too.

If you want to hop on a boat from DTD to PO Riverside, you could have drinks at River's Roost & see Yee Ha Bob play. There's clips of him on YouTube.

Happy Birthday & Have a great trip!

I definitely like the idea of hitting up the monorail resorts on the way back from MK, and the resorts around the other parks, too. That may be an absolute winner so we can do a little here and a little there.

I just looked at the videos online for Yeehaw Bob, what a trip!

It's going to be so tough to decide what to do on this trip! I haven't even set up any kind of itinerary yet!

If your boyfriend is also 21, I would definitely go check out Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk. It's a dueling piano bar and it's always been one of our favorites!

Another vote here for Jellyrolls. My girlfriend and I finally got to check it out this past May and had a blast. Can't wait to go back. Setting up a tab is very dangerous since you can lose count of drinks and track of time very quickly. Get there by 8:45 or 9 to ensure you get a table and think of some requests. They do everything from Billy Joel and Elton John to Lady Gaga and the Beastie Boys and everything in between.

IMO, EPCOT would be your best option, plenty of drink and food options and you get to walk around to burn of some of the alcohol. Better than just sitting at a bar. You can do that at home. Have a great Birthday.:cool1::banana:

Have dinner at WP in DTD, with a glass of wine. Go to see La Nouba, have a Bacardi and Coke. Then finish the evening at the House of Blues, with a beer or two. :drinking1

Happy B-Day!
