I am going to be heading to disney world for my 21st birthday and was hoping for some birthday suggestions! We have been to Disney World more than ten times over the years, but this is the first time we are celebrating a birthday so any tips for birthday celebrations are welcome, but also, anyone who has suggestions on must-try drinks while there are helpful too!

Trader Joe's at the Poly is new and the new favorite. A recent report stated that people line up a half hour before opening to guarantee a place in the bar. The patio it appears to have more availability. Many of the drinks have souvenir cups. The Nautilus cup is reportedly not available. Here is a recent review.

There is a higher end bar in the Mexico pavilion called La Cava. Their margaritas are better than you can get in the outdoor stands.

The lounge at Port Orleans Riverside gas some interesting drinks and Yee Haw Bob who is quite entertaining.

There are any number of blogs on drinking in WDW and a lot of places to do it.

I loved the avocado margarita from La Cava! I also think Raglan Road is a fun place to celebrate, especially for a 21st birthday. I've been to Trader Sam's at Disneyland and love it, I'm assuming the one at DW is the same? I haven't been to Jelly Rolls in awhile, so I don't know if that's still popular, but that's also a fun, dueling-piano bar at the boardwalk.

Also, who can resist drinking around the world at Epcot?!

I will say that you can get your "Birthday Button" however, I have found that it gets you little more than a lot of birthday wishes. It's nice to have, but after about 200 "Happy Birthday" wishes, I finally took the button off. I guess I kind of expected a little more. I suppose the "Magical" dream of going to the front of every line and free deserts everywhere was a bit much. :)

First of all Happy Birthday!! pixiedust: Last year was the first time I had gone to Disney since turning 21 (I'm 25 now). I had gone multiple times as a kid and teenager but to be officially an adult at the park is awesome! Of course my suggestion would be to drink the best drinks at Disney.

If you can get a reservation at Be Our Guest do it! Not only is it gorgeous inside (seriously breath taking) but its the only place in Magic Kingdom you can get a glass of wine or two. Its a little pricey but definitely worth it :)

And of course we can't mention drinking at Disney without mentioning Epcot. If Drinking around the World isn't your style- I'd say at least try some of these drinks:

Mexico- La Cava Del Tequila- Any of their specialty margaritas. They have a lot of different and unique kinds. They have a jalapeno one, a cucumber one, an avocado one (I had this one- Yum!) some fruity ones and more. It's also cool to go on the boat ride with a bit of a buzz :thumbsup2

Germany- Beirgaten- The Beer Flight (Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen, Warsteiner Dunkel, Schöfferhofer Hefeweizen, Altenmünster Oktoberfest)

Japan-Mitsukoshi- Don't just try the first stand you see, they have a Sake Bar in the very back of the shop. My favorite is the Nigori, an unfiltered milky sake.

France- The Slushie stand. My favorite thing here, especially on a really hot day you can end up drinking 5 of these since they are so refreshing. The Grand Marnier Orange Slush. Out of everything I'll mention def try this one if nothing else!

Finally I'd like to end it off with a Guinness at the Rose and Crown in the UK.

Happy Boozing! :drinking1

I just went on my 21st birthday trip in May (my birthday is in February however) and make sure you stop by Dockside Margaritas in DTD! Most of our drinking other than that was done at F&G booths. We had dinner at Cali Grill, and the drinks we had there were great!

I could not agree more with this suggestion. This is one of the best drinks because it will cool you down and it tastes great. This is a must have on any trip to WDW for me.
