Glad to have been a part of it as well! I just hope that someday if I am in her position I will have a son as caring as you!(I don't have any dd's!) Hope to see a picture of her someday!
It's so good to hear that you're mom was recognized by all those fine folks. Kudos to you for posting one little message about how sad she was at not receiving mail.
Katholyn it was really so much fun to do and no trouble. I don't have my Mom,Dad or Gran around anymore and I just adore older folk so it was a real privilege to be able to put a smile on your Mom's face. I'm so glad she feels special as that was the whole point!
I too was glad to be a part of your wonderful scheme Katholyn! I will continue to send cards on a whim. Thank you so much for sending my aunt a card at her nursing home! It made my aunt feel really special! So your mom must have felt the same (216 times over!!)
Waaahhh. You made me cry. Until you post that picture, I can only see your mom in my mind's eye and in my heart. Thanks for the opportunity to help make her "feel the love!"
Katholyn, you cheered up more than your mom...my mood perked up considerably once I read your post and bought my card to send. I'm just gonna say thank YOU, and so happy to hear your mom is having a great time with all this.
Pam
I'm so glad that she is enjoying the cards and gifts. I wasn't sure how she would feel about someone she didn't know writing her but I'm glad to know that it's OK.
I want to say that I am sure I am not the only one who was inspired by your note. It made me think about my own grandmother at the nursing home. Like you we are close enough to visit in person and my mom does so everyday, as a result we are not really mailing her much stuff. I am now making an effort to send her more cards. Unfortunately, she has a touch of alzheimers so she doesn't always understand but in her better moments she does know who I am.
