21 Days till Disney World - A Project a Day! #9 - Autograph Book Bag

That bag is so awesome! She must be so proud of herself. And I LOVE that you let her do it all herself. That is so hard for me sometimes!
Tell her that her mom's Dis friends are so impressed with her skills!
:thumbsup2

I will, thanks!! She will be thrilled. She is already quite pleased with herself, as she should be. :cheer2:

I have really enjoyed reading your PTR. I wish I was as creative as you. My biggest accomplishment was the countdown calendar and it just involved lots of stickers. I was glad to get your thoughts on the autograph book. I have been debating getting one for my younger son (he is also 3.5) and I think I will either buy one or attempt to make one this weekend. I look forward to seeing the rest of your projects.

Well welcome along on my little PTR! Glad you are here!!

I ordered several autograph books from ebay over the years, and we really liked them. They were so cute. But I have to say, I like the thick paper and the photo holders in this Disney book. There are only spots for 25 autographs and I am fine with that!!! I let my kids keep their books in their rooms and sadly I think they are all lost, torn or written in by little hands. I think I will let Paige look through this one with me when she would like to, but I want to keep good track of it. I think this will be our last trip where we have a child who wants to do the autograph thang, which is bittersweet!

WOW! She did a great job on the bag. I have a hard enough time sewing on a button, I couldn't imagine making anything.

You really could!! Once you know how to use the machine I promise that sewing on a button is harder than this bag!:thumbsup2

I kind of stood behind Leah and held one side of the fabric to keep the stitch straight. I considered this project a huge success because I never needed to use the seam ripper. :rotfl2:

This PTR has been interrupted by Halloween. I can't work on DIsney projects when I have 5 Halloween costumes to make.... One for each kid, plus Hubs and I. Each year we host an adults-only Halloween party. This year we are going as Barbie and Ken. Today I am wrapping TV boxes in pink wrapping paper to make the "box" Barbie and Ken come in. Fun fun.

Btw, I am kind of nervous about leaving the morning after Halloween. I have visions of my kids all jacked up on candy and unable to sleep until 2am, then I wake them up at 5am to leave for the airport and we have an entire day with cranky kids strung out on sugar.

I missed the autograph book bag... That turned out adorable!! Your dd did a fantastic job on it!!!

I can't remember what else I was going to comment on... must be getting old?

Just give them more candy for breakfast. HAHA. Can't wait to see the costumes, especially Ken and Barbie.

More candy.... Hmmm... I like this "hair of the dog" approach!!! :lmao:

Let's hope the Ken and Barbie pics are Dis-appropriate. The hubs wants to be Malibu Ken!!! :rotfl:
