DAY 11 - Port Orleans Riverside Resort - Florida Mall/Mall@Millenia - Tony's Town Square Restaurant
A lie in today, until 9 O’clock and then we drove over to Port Orleans Riverside for breakfast. This has a lovely food court and the whole resort is set amongst beautiful surroundings.
Sue: Breakfast Platter +Orange Juice + Water
Emma: Breakfast Platter +Orange Juice + Water
Nigel: Breakfast Sandwich + 2 bottles of Apple Juice
In Boatwright’s restaurant there is a huge collection of tools used for boat making, hung on the walls.
After breakfast we had a stroll around the grounds.
The sun was very hot, when we returned back to the food court and decided to have ice creams to cool down.
It was late opening today for the shops, so we had a drive to Florida Mall, mainly to exchange some t-shirts we had bought the previous day. Next port of call was Mall at Millennia. This was quite busy, and for those of you who have yet to go there, the upper floor contains some rather exclusive (and expensive) shops. Cartier, Gucci, Tiffany’s, Chanel , to name but a few. Another one of our favourite eating places is also here – The Cheesecake factory, but on this visit, due to DDP we may not get a visit in. I always find the air con in here extremely cold., so it may be worth taking a lightweight top if you plan on visiting. We left the Mall at around 4:30 and made our way back to OKW.
Tonight we had ADR booking at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant in MK. We were seated after around 5 minutes of checking in.
Nigel: Seafood Diavoli + Tiramisu + Diet Coke
Sue: Spaghetti & Meatballs + Lemon Walnut Cake + Diet Coke
Emma: Spaghetti & Meatballs + Tiramisu + Diet Coke
Service was very quick, in fact, we got presented with the cheque before our desserts were served!, but overall we quite enjoyed it.
I had always intended to purchase some Disney Dollars as keep sake, so a visit to City Hall was made.
The park was very quiet after the previous night’s events, so we left the park and travelled back to T&TC by monorail. Arriving back at OKW, we had a drink on the balcony before calling it a day.
