We got back Sunday July 13th from the most glorious trip we have ever taken. It was our 20th Anniversary trip and we Renewed our Vows at Leu Gardens while we were there.

July 9th. Our Anniversary and Vow Renewal Day!!!

Both dh and I got up VERY early around 5 AM in order to shower and get partially ready and the kidlets up before hair and makeup came at 6:30 AM. Right on the dot Rex was there at 6:30 with someone else to do my hair. Ohhhhhhh was I ever pampered. Rex did a FABULOUS job on my makeup and was able to hide two small scars I have on my face. I couldnt believe what I was seeing when he showed me my makeup in the mirror. On to hair!!! The lady who came used my natural curl and was able to put it up in an oh so feminine upsweep which looked awesome with the tiara I was wearing. It just took my breath away when I saw my hair completed with the tiara and the makeup. While I was getting pampered dh got the kids and himself ready. The kids were sooooooooooo good and gave dh not a lick of trouble getting into their suits.

Rex and the lady left and it was time to put on my gown. I was near in tears at this point because I felt like such a princess. Dh had never seen me in my gown and the look on his face as I turned after he zipped me up was priceless. He kept telling me how beautiful I looked. My five year old kept telling me I looked Prettyful!!!

7:45 time to make our way to the front of the resort. We called the concierge and Phillip came down and whisked us to the back of the Great Ceremonial House in a club car. People kept turning around and looking at us as we walked through the GCH. It was a wonderful yet weird feeling. Right on the dot the Limo was there at 8:00 AM with my SIL right behind them with my MIL, FIL and nieces.

We left the Poly and made great time and got to Leu Gardens 15 minutes early. We met the minister who had my flowers which were EXACTLY what I wanted and the Photographer. Many pictures were taken as we walked back to the Gazebo. I thought I would be nervous but I was sooooooooo calm it wasnt funny. It was like a dream. Everything was perfect and I was soooooooo happy. When we got to the walkway of the Gazebo dh and I parted ways and he went down to the Gazebo to wait. The song.... Youre Still the One began playing and I started my walk. Dh met me half way and we walked together to the Gazebo. There were many prayers and readings and then we said our vows. I was near in tears. The vows were beautiful and he had us standing face to face throughout most of the service. Our family was recognized as were my late parents and then the children were brought into the service. We gave the boys crosses and that was made part of the service. He then told dh to kiss me like he kissed me 20 years ago and boy did he ever!!!! After the service was over we walked the gardens and took tons of pictures at different spots.

We left by limo and were whisked back to the Poly. On the trip back we had some champaign that was reserved for us by the Limo company. I was feeling VERY good by the time we got back for the reception at Ohana!! hehehehehehehehe. We again walked through the GCH to many congratulations and smiles and made our way up to Ohana. We had our pictures taken there by the restaurant photographer and went in. We all had a glorious breakfast and the cake we ordered was BEAUTIFUL and we shared it with those around us.

My ILs took the boys for us for the rest of the day and night. Dh and I relaxed around the resort, got the rolls of film the photographer gave us turned in to be developed and just spent some really quiet time with each other. Something we have not had since my eldest was born. In the early evening there was a knock on the door. The concierge had sent us chocolates and a bottle of Champaign. I got all choked up. That was so special of them.

That night we went to the Poly Luau with our wedding ears on and special vow renewal shirts that a friend had made for us. We had our pictures taken. The man doing the pictures remembered us from the morning!!! We had great seats and when they called for the anniversary couples dh and I went up and danced. The show was great but we were exhausted. We got back to the room after the luau and promptly fell into bed and went to sleep with wonderful dreams of a totally magical day in our heads.

I felt like such a princess that day with my prince charming and it will be a day I will remember for a lifetime. It couldnt have been a more perfect day!!!

Can you post a picture. Thanks for sharing.

Your pictures are beautiful! Where is Leu Gardens? Is it on Disney property? Thanks for sharing such a nice trip.

Leu Gardens is about 11 miles from Disney property. Its in Orlando. It was absolutely beautiful and just the perfect place to have our vow renewal.
