20th (!) Anniversary ideas needed please!

DH & I will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary this June (how can that be when I'm only 29? ) and I need help with ideas.

DH is suggesting Las Vegas. We both enjoy Vegas, but it is not "new & different" for us. We were there together twice last year & I went again to take care of my dad who had to have emergency surgery there while on his vacation.

We only want to go for a few days. Our anniversary is on a Wednesday - we would probably leave that day or the night before & return on the weekend.

Can't go to NYC - my kids would kill me if we went there & didn't take them.

Likewise, WDW is not an option. We were just there & it's time to do something new.

We do like active vacations - but not strenuous. I'm still waiting for this broken ankle to heal, so hiking is out of the question!

Any romantic ideas for a fairly short trip?

Is your anniversary June 15th? We will be celebrating 20 years on that day also. Not sure what we are doing yet. We may wait until August and go on a cruise. Best Wishes. Debbi

Congrats to you - a cruise sounds fun, but they are pretty booked up for our dates.

I was going to suggest a cruise around the Thousand Islands of New York and Canada. My cousins did this and had a really had a good time. You can always take the kids to New York another time.
