2024 Room Discounts

We have a trip planned for early February 2024 and we were wondering if they will announce room discounts for that time period. If so, when? Disney seems to be announcing more discounts than in the previous, post covid years. Plus, it appears that most room categories are available for early 2024 so maybe sales are down. Hoping to not miss it if discounts are announced.

I just saw this today! They are definitely offering more discounts. Right now there is a 25% off room only until end of Dec, and this one also covers the same period and beyond. I'm also waiting for the discounts for end of March!

Do y'all book and then call in for the discount difference or do you wait to actually book until the sale goes on?

Booking and applying the discount doesn't always work as your dates have to be available w/the discounted rate. They only allot a certain amount of rooms for the discount. I usually just book what I would want if I couldn't get the discount, then add days or change resorts when the discount comes available. That way, I have something that would work money wise w/o the discount.

Depends what’s more important to you… the particular room you want or the price. Disney offers discounts to fill unbooked rooms, not as a bonus for already booked rooms. If a particular resort or room type is well booked, they may be excluded from any discounts. Some deluxe resorts have a room category that has only 2 or 3 rooms, for example. If all the rooms are booked at rack rate, Disney will not see a need to discount for that room for those dates. If you want 1 of those limited room & are willing to pay rack rate, book whenever you want. If you wait, they may get booked by others & you’ll miss out. If you can only keep it if you get a discount, there no reason to book ahead. It may even contribute to Disney not offering a discount for that room, because it’s already booked.

Most posters advise booking what you want & can afford a rack rate, then change resorts or room types if a discount comes out that works for you.
