Today I tried to make DCL transportation and book a hotel reservation through DCL for pre cruise stay and was told they were not “released” yet. I was told this could be that they are working out service contracts?? I don’t understand why they do not have the MCO Hyatt or WDW resorts available to book through them as well ?? I was able to make a WDW hotel reservations on my own.
Is this normal?

Here's a recent thread about this:

Honestly, for WDW resorts, you're better off booking on your own. Then if there's a discount you're eligible for, you can try to apply it yourself and the systems don't really talk to each other that well anyway.

I thought the Hyatt was available though, because someone in my FB cruise group was able to get the rates for pre/post cruise stays.

As far as transfers, there's a couple threads about it right now. My best guess is that we'll have more of an answer once the Disney FY ends at the end of the month.

Once upon a pre-COVID time that was true as those busses didn't get there until after 12pm usually. But since COVID they have left much earlier and give you first access to the terminal and the earlier boarding groups.

I wasn't talking about the transfers, I meant the actual stay. Booking the pre/post cruise stay through WDW systems (or a TA) vs through DCL.

Oh gotcha. Sorry I misunderstood.

We were finally able to book transfers for our Feb 24 cruise this week. We're sailing out of New Orleans, so it may not apply to all of the ports yet, but it looks like at least some of the transportation for next year has been sorted out.
If Disney have got transfers for New Orleans for 2024 them it won't be long until they release transfers for 2024 season for Port Canaveral it should be released for 2024 in the next few months just before the January and February sailings from Port Canaveral so hopefully it should be released shortly and they are still negotiating for transfers for Port Canaveral.
