2022 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival (July 14 - November 19, 2022)

Think I'm fairly much done with the Food & Wine festival until they bring back the special events (which may never happen). The beverage seminars and culinary demonstrations were the things I most looked forward to. I went last year and it's just not the same. I had planned on spending 8 to 9 days at the festival this year as I recently retired and this is something that I was looking forward to doing after retirement - being able to really enjoy the festival over an extended period of time. However, with no special events or seminars scheduled again this year, I've decided to return in early December instead to catch the Festival of the Holidays.
We're feeling the same way. Now that Epcot has the food booths basically year round, it seems like F&W isn't really even a festival anymore without the events. At least with the other festivals during the year there is more than just the food booths to see.

We already have this year booked, but next year we're skipping F&W and going to the festival of the holidays and FARTS instead.

Does anyone know when will we get a look at the merchandise that's going to be offered this year?

I'm holding out hope that they will be back next year, after all aren't they building a new Festival Tent/Center in the new expansion bit?

pretty sure the new multi-level festival center building has been discontinued. There is a downgraded version around where Innoventions was, referred to as a "festival area" which appears to be outdoors and has a stage.

The last update on the "Festival Stage area" from early May still included plans for a demonstration kitchen (& a mixology bar), so I'm hopeful. But, as we've learned, can't really count on anything until it's actually done. As far as the events at the individual restaurants, I feel like those have to be quite profitable -- particularly when holding in a restaurant not otherwise open for lunch/brunch (e.g. La Hacienda, Chefs, Monsieur Paul, Takumi Tei, Tutto Gusto)-- so I'm hoping that once international CMs return and staffing (hopefully) evens out those might return as well.

I definitely agree that the food booths in and of themselves are no longer special. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy and as a semi-local will visit and enjoy but the lack of events is a BIG gap.

Does anyone know when will we get a look at the merchandise that's going to be offered this year?
Usually, a preview of the merchandise is posted at some point on Disney Parks Blog.

For anybody who is planning to be at the festival during the later portion and you want to purchase some of the merchandise, check Shop Disney near the beginning of the festival and if you see anything you want, order it!! I went to the festival last year the first week of October and there was no merchandise left - no t-shirts, no wine glasses, nothing.

Sadly, we noticed the same thing last year. Without the other events the main difference between F&W and F&G was F&W had a few more booths and more drink options, F&G had topiaries.
But they were much more similar than in previous years.

Yes, they are building what is being called "CommniCore Plaza" which will go in the area of what was Innoventions West, the building which was torn down.

Part of CommiCore Plaza will include CommuniCore Hall which will serve as exhibition and gallery space. There will be a demonstration kitchen and mixology bar according to Disney Imagineering.

Especially happy that a booth or two we really wanted is opening August 11 which is 2 days before we will be there. They were originally opening later in the festival.

Just saw another post here on the restaurants board asking about opening date for the later booths and it appears that Disney updated the blog post and festival page to say they're opening Aug 15th (vs. the 11th).

Is anyone else astounded (in a bad way) at these “adds”?!?! Terrible almost all of them. Not sure what all the waiting was for? I was hoping they were lining up someone good! 😂

Unfortunately the two trips I have planned the concerts aren't anyone I care to see. Would love to have been able to see 38 Special or Jimmie Allen. There are a few others I wouldn't have minded. Instead I get Jeremy Camp who I've never heard of, Taylor Dane yet again, Tiffany and my later trip is Post Modern Jukebox (heard of but don't know anything about), Stokely (another one I never heard of) & Sheila E. Guess I'm feeling my age but don't care for the Disco era ones at all.

F&W starts 7/14. We will be there 7/13. Any chance some of the food booths will be open?

There are some bands I wouldn't mind seeing but wouldn't you know the two that are there while I'm there I could care less about. 90 degrees and Southern Avenue (who I have never heard of and had to google). Oh well, just means more time snacking at booths.

They have occasionally had soft openings but I wouldn't count on it.

Hope this is the right area to post this but does anyone or this board know where I can get a PRINTABLE menu list? I read the full menu items but where I have, it is full of photos, etc. I would like just a simple text based printable list of the menus so when we go if we want to adjust I don’t need to be fussing with my phone through add based photo pages. Or, a way to just create my own?

I can't answer your actual question, but I can recommend the Food & Wine app. It's not Disney's app, but it covers all the festivals and lists the booths, what their offerings are, has a map, and allows you to drop pins on the booths you want to visit so you don't accidentally walk right past one you really want to buy from! Also, you can review and comment on what you eat (for your personal notes, not public). We find it very useful!

They supply little booklets called passports. They don't have prices on them but they do have each of the booths on their own page with little check boxes if you want. They also list all the entertainment and other things happening. They are pocket sized, I can fit one in the pocket of my skort.
