When can we expect to be able to make 2019 reservations?

You can book room-only reservations already. If you're looking for package rates, those should be released in June.

I am unable to do it online. The site will only let me do it with a check-in date in 2018. I guess I will need to call.

Someone told me that if you want a package, you have to cancel the room only and re-book a package because the reservation systems don't talk to each other...strange! But not surprised...we want to book now bec it is easier to budget 1 year out.

That is true - the system for packages is separate from room only. So if there is a specific resort and room type that you want to hold or you are planning a trip early in the year, it may make sense to book room only, then rebook (down payment will be refunded and then recharged as a package).

Because rates are not available. No rates, no system logic.

Because it's booked for at least some of the dates in your search, and resort booking doesn't show partial availability.
