2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

Called right at 9am. Took 23 minutes to get through & not get a busy signal. Now on hold being told over 60 minute wait. This is getting old, Disney.

I'm on vacation. Was not going to even try to pre book but a stray thunderstorm cut my yoga class short. If I am not through by the time it passes I'm giving up. So tired of playing this game every year. Feel like I am begging Disney to take my money

Believe me I really want these events but if I can't get through I'll take my chances with general booking and if I get shut out so be it

Call finally answered at 9:17 am. I had to confirm my AP number and expiration date, provide my confirmation number for my resort, and that seemed to take forever, but I got both events I wanted, Italian Food and Wine Luncheon on 10/23 and Mexican Tequila Luncheon on 10/25.

Call finally answered at 9:17 am. I had to confirm my AP number and expiration date, provide my confirmation number for my resort, and that seemed to take forever, but I got both events I wanted, Italian Food and Wine Luncheon on 10/23 and Mexican Tequila Luncheon on 10/25.

This is worrying me, since I dont have my AP on me.


Edit: They are asking for my AP number. She is letting me book but I am to call back with my number this afternoon.

Just FYI...
I called the Dine number a few minutes before 9, got a CM who asked if I was an AP holder or DVC member. I said DVC and she said I had to contact DVC Member services to make F&W reservations (?). I don't know if this is true because I called Member Services, got right in and made all my reservations.

V&A 11/3 (huge splurge! for my birthday)
Parisian Breakfast 11/4

Couldn't get the Tequila Lunch on 11/2 or Champagne beverage seminar on 11/5. These weren't quite showing up in the system yet or were saying not available. I will call back in a bit I guess

If I didn't have to run a 10k the next morning - I would have done V&A but that much food and wine and then running would not be good

I called at 2 minutes early and was told a 5 minute wait which was about right on when they answered. Ruby helped me and was incredible! I gave her my name and zip, and that was all the info that she needed to start the process. I was able to get all my experiences booked! PFTS, Tiffin's signature dinner, Italian regional lunch, Italian food/beer/wine pairing, Mexican lunch, Parisian breakfast! We have been going to F&W for many years and this is the easiest experience I have EVER had in getting my tickets. And the good news is that since I am in California, I do not have to get up at 4AM on Thursday for the general booking window. It's a good day!

I have an idiot on the phone who can't find availability for Robrt Irvine on Oct 22. He keeps wanting to transfer me to Disney F&W number directly... and I CALLED the right number. I'm insisting he get his supervisor to help...AAARRRGGH

Are the DVC seats for PftS guaranteed or reserved seats?

I booked the regular seats (reserved) since I have a party of 10 and you can only book 8 for the special DVC seats but those are reserved too.

Wow. Always an adventure!! Short version is that I got everything I wanted: French Family Meal Traditions, Tokyo Pairing, 2 cooking demos and 1 beverage seminar.

Longer version...

• Got through to DVC right away; told 4min wait; actual wait was 13min
• Only got through to FEST 2min before the DVC line finally picked up so I hung up there.
• DVC CM confirms my info is unchanged, I give him the 1st event I want to book (French Family) and he puts me on hold WITHOUT TELLING ME WHY
• Comes back from hold after 2min and asks if he can put me on hold again -- I asked him what the reason was as I was hoping to get the bookings in before they disappear. He says he's trying to confirm whether I can get a discount. I KNOW THAT I AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A DISCOUNT on what I'm booking. I explained that my understanding is the discount is only $2 on culinary demos and beverage seminars Mon-Thu (none of my events).
• I told him I appreciated him trying to check, but I know I am not eligible for a discount, so can I just book? He hesitates and then says "fine".
• I book my 5 events, but honestly, this was the SLOWEST booking experience I've had for everything. Each one took him a while. The entire booking took almost 20min.

And NOTHING bookable online... not even the culinary demos or beverage seminars that show calendar times.

Good luck to those still trying to book today and in advance to those booking on Jul 20!!

Great CM Tracy. Only had problem with French Family meal due to her system updating. Got PFTS on 10/7, French Family meal on 10/8 and Italian Lunch on 10/11. Was told by my family only one big event per day. Still waiting for Star Wars dessert party and Tracy said Highway in the Sky may note extended into October. Bummer. Good luck everyone.

I've had similar issues in the past and i've had to be persistent to get a supervisor.

Called DVC at 9:00am EST. The phone rang longer than usual, but I did get through. I was told the wait time was approximately 9 minutes. It took about 35 minutes for a Castmember to answer the line. It went smoothly. She was very helpful and I had no problem booking the Italian Food & Wine Pairing Luncheon.
