2016 ride closures?

hi all
Maybe u can help me as i am really confused/disappointed. We were planning to go in june 2016.
Whilst doing some online research i have found info saying that rides such as: big thunder mountain, peter pan, railroad,studio tram tour and a couple more will be closed?
Now im thinking this will all be in preparation for 2017, 25 anniversary right?
What are your views on this as dont want to go on this holiday and have major rides shut as disney is not a holiday which we can go to often.

yes, 2016 will be a year of refurbs (some of them very long ones) to get ready for April 2017 and the official start of the 25th anniversary celebrations (which if the past ones are anything to go by, will then stay with us for at least 2 years lol).

If both Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean were closed on my trip, I wouldn't go - but I can work around your list of closures, plenty of other stuff to do if only one of my favourites is down for refurb.
