2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

For any who are interested, the process has opened to request tickets to any of the 5 planned tapings of The Chew. Go to the show's page on abc.com, select "get tickets" and follow the prompts. It will say "join waitlist". If it works like last year, everyone joins the waitlist initially (they cut it off eventually) and then you're notified by email if your request was accepted.
Thanks for letting everyone on the thread know! :thumbsup2

I like the idea of using up snacks....it seems we can never get through those.

WDW annual passholder glass for this year's Festival: http://imgur.com/a/BtB7H

Now if we could see some info on other festival merchandise! It's only 7 more days until the festival starts!

Thank you for sharing! For some reason since I renewed my pass I haven't gotten the Mickey Monitor. :(

Yes. There will be a page at the back of your festival passport you'll get stamped each day. On day 3, you'll get the glass.

Must remember to stop off and get a festival passport this year! I never got one last year. But it looks like you just need your MagicBand and ID.

Just a warning. Last year the lines to get the passport stamp for this were LONG. I skipped getting a "free" glass that was going to cost me an hour in line three different times LOL!
Are u sure it was only an hour? The lines I saw looked 2hrs long last year!!

the first couple of days it was a mess. They didn't have their act together and they even moved the area you picked them up to a different building. After that it settled down a bit and if you went the right time of day, around mid-morning it wasn't too bad. I got two last year since I was there for 6 days, alas this year I'm actually at WDW for 6 nights 7 days but only 5 days for F&W since it doesn't start until my second day there. Given the fact that we just moved 3 boxes of glasses from our bar glass cabinet down to the basement, I'm pretty sure I'd get in trouble if I came home with more than one any way.

Do you recall the day and time? We got our glass last year. Our first stamp was on Saturday afternoon. Although the line was long, I think it was maybe 45 minutes. Our second stamp was on Sunday afternoon with slightly shorter line and time. Our last stamp was on Wednesday morning and we had a very short line and wait.

Reviewing the link above, it sounds like AP holders will be limited to 1 glass this year regardless of the number of visits. That's probably why it sounds like they have replaced the 3 stamp process with the MB/AP usage.

Could be but I think it's pretty says the same thing it did last year. They were using their little IPADs and scanning bands last year so maybe they have upped their game so they can track it that way. I'll ask when I stop by next Wens.

Well maybe if they actually didn't let the locals get a complete set of glasses by coming daily to get the "Freebie" then the rest of you might be able to get one.

This years system seems much better than last year!

We were there the last weekend last year (for the W&D half) and we didn't wait long at all and they still had glasses.

We too heard about the usual Disney chaos of the first few days ... But all the kinks were gone by the end.

"While supplies last"... Not sure I should be optimistic about them having some left by Nov 3...
I only arrived at WDW Nov. 12th last year, and they had glasses left by the time I got my 3 visits in- my problem was getting my hands on a stupid passport- they had completely run out, and I luckily found one random booth that only had 5 or so left :-/
