2015 Christmas...no parks looking for advice - Vero and WDW

Hey Experts:

Looking at doing a long road trip and likely skipping the parks this time. Looking at Vero Beach for three nights near Christmas...would you do 2Bdr Villa or opt out to 2 ocean view rooms? Is the Ocean view worth it vs the space? and are there enough activities if weather is sketchy?

Plus I am looking to make sure we are planted on Christmas eve and Christmas Day...If I do two days in Orlando....would think the Disney resorts in Orlando are more decorated and have a more Christmas like feel?

One last thing....trying to find an activities sheet for Vero beach if it exists?

I think the OVIR are definitely worth it. I've had 1-2 bedrooms with nothing but foliage views.

I guess it depends on your family make-up but I would go for a 2 bedroom over the view if nothing else near Christmas to give us some good family areas- I find that with the 2 beds in the inn room there is not too much room for people to be around together. If the weather is not good for swimming (it can be warm or very cool at that time of year) I would prefer having the room for doing activities and playing games together.

2 Resorts that immediately come to mind are, WL, & AKL/V...Both have the same architecture , but the decor is a lil different. But both have huge XMas trees in the HUGE atrium and are decorated extremely nice.
