This year Ill be coordinating the Bay Lake Tower Tree Exchange!
There will be at least one holiday tree exchange for persons staying at BLT. We are still looking for tree donorsideally a smaller tree (a 2.5 to 4 footer) is bestand can be themed or not. If you donate, please include a few ornaments, lights, and an extension cordand contact me for the list of families (see the overarching thread for specifics: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3308993&highlight=holiday+tree+exchange)
HOW IT WORKS:
A donated tree, with decorations, will arrive at BLT. A list of people participating will be on the box, along with their tree reservation dates, and I will also have a copy of that list in case it gets separated. You pick up the tree from Bell Services on your date, take the tree back to your room, set up and enjoy!
TO JOIN THE BLT EXCHANGE:
This will be my first time coordinating, so please be patient! Again, to participate, PM with your real reservation name and your dates. I will update the list on the thread with your disboard name only.
THE FINE PRINT:
1. I will ask that each family PM me to confirm that theyve picked up and dropped off the tree at Bell Services when they do so to prevent the tree from going AWOL. And wed LOVE it if youd post a picture of the tree dressing up your holiday!
2. Whenever possible, your pickup date will be your arrival date but it may be necessary to pick up mid-trip to work with peoples schedules. This will likely become apparent after signups are more complete. If we get a second donated tree and enough signups, we will have a second tree schedule as well that I will keep.
3. When your time is up, you'll cross your name off the list with the tree box and return to Bell Service for the next person to pick up.
4. There will be a donation envelope to help defray the shipping costs to and from BLT.
5. I will handle the trees return as we will be there Jan 3rdI will use a prepaid return shipping label and Bell Services will mail it back.
6. Well ask that each family add a small ornament to the tree, but this is not a deal breaker.
7. Some may choose to add a small gift for each family subsequent to theirs on the list as well, but again, not a deal breaker.
8. Send me (twinsouvenirs) a PM with your dates and I'll add you to the list. I will update the list from time to time on line with screennames, and Ill keep real names private on my list.
