Deep Dark Secret...

I have never had a meal or ice cream at Beaches & Cream. Only time we have eaten there was during the trial breakfast in July 2009

:duck: as a whole can of whipped cream is thrown at my head!

:)....

My youngest, maddie, LOVES their ice cream so much that last summer she'd disappear every afternoon at roughly the same time and only after a few days did she come clean about where she was sneaking off to. She told us that she had joined some "ice cream club" saying that she had to go meet up with her fellow "club" members at Beaches and Cream :rotfl2:...I swear that girl is just too much sometimes!!

Another item ticked off the list, airport and IDrive transfers booked, along with a supermarket stop off.
Any recommendations ?
I only have time to lurk today- we didn't get blasted by snow overnight, just a dusting, so the boys were off to school and it was business as usual here.

I'll come by in the morning to give a proper :welcome: and :welcome: back to folks and to update the Be Our Guest list.

Have a great night everyone-Stay warm!

Dee
Glad to hear you're surviving the winter so far :goodvibes
I keep coming on every day to look at those beautiful and warm pictures of the SAB. It's below zero here again and I am so ready for my vacation. The longer I stare at them the warmer I get. At least that's what I'm thinking. :)

Me too ;)

Am I allowed to send a thank you gift to the concierge lounge crew at the Regatta Club? We have been quite pixie dusted on this trip and they have been very helpful and I would like to send a flower arrangement or an edible arrangement, just something to show our appreciation and I wasn't sure if that was allowed?

CMs love edible gifts. The lovely staff at Yacht Club ate half our wedding cake.

Add me to the group...we're booked a Beach Club Villa Studio from 11/28 through 12/5.

I use Sergio at Orlandotransfer.net.

Lovely man. When I emailed he remembered us from 2 years ago. Hmm is the good or bad that we are memorable :rolleyes1

Missed you. I'm on week four of antibiotics ... bronchitis. Actually feeling a tad better today. Bob and I are thinking about going to an all inclusive adult Caribbean resort for our 35th anniversary in early August. Think we've narrowed it down to the Excellence in Punta Cana. We've been real busy at work. However, I wish the weather would get better. I'm tired of people complaining that we don't have an indoor swimming pool.

Hey Teena! I've missed you too. I am so sorry you have been sick. I am so excited for you and Bob and your 35th. That sounds fantastic!! and Warm.......

It is great to see you back here again. :goodvibes I love your positive energy. :)
Thanks! I feel better just to be able to dream about Disney again!:cool1:

That was one expensive Christmas gift!!!
No kidding.... Thinking about renaming him Cash! :rotfl2:

Love, your friend Buzzy the Fly

Hi, we are planning a trip for late august or September and while we have only stayed at the Poly, with all the construction and pool closure, we are choosing the BC. I have 3 kids, 10,7, and 5 and I think they will enjoy the pool area. I'll miss the monorail, but can get over it, Lol!

My question is, is there a section of rooms near the pool? We stayed CL and in Samoa at the poly, both right by the pool and enjoyed the close proximity for the kids. Is it possible to request a room or is it a bad idea (noise, inconvenience, etc). Also, we will probably just do a standard view, will we be able to get a balcony? I'd like that or a ground floor with a patio, preferably by the pool???

Thanks for any information!!

They will LOVE the pool! So exciting!:thumbsup2

Hi everyone well we finally booked, we will be at the Beach Club July 25th - August 4th, I would love it if you could add me to the list!

We are all really excited, can't wait to stay the BC for the first time.

So much fun!! It will be here before you know it.:cheer2:

:cool1: welcome back. I hope your new fur baby is feeling better now.
Thanks! Yes, he is much better now weighing in at 3.9pds.:rotfl2:

Guess who just got a pin code email today, and saved $279 for our upcoming POR stay on 1/29? Meeeeeeee :rotfl: :yay: I was booked with Stay,Play,Dine, and pin was free dining!! And that $279 is after the $50 change fee, and $15 admin fee!!
So excited! All this time, and I never got a pin code!!

:woohoo:

We will be at the Yacht Club in exactly 13 days !!!!!!!!!!! It is our first stay at the YC and we are super excited!! DF and I are getting married at the YC Gazebo and we absolutely can't wait.

We live in PA and it's been snowing / freezing / polar vortex happenin' here so we can't wait to be in sunny Florida! I hope it'll be warm enough for some swimming at Stormalong bay!!!!!! :dance3:

So exciting!!! Congratulations!:woohoo:

:wave2:

Good to see you back here! Sounds like a rough couple of months- hope things are settling down for you. And hope even more that you are able to make a return trip to the World!

:goodvibes

Thanks!!! I have missed you guys! :woohoo: I am trying to figure out a way to get back in May. So far no luck....lol Might have to be 2015:eek:

:)

Thanks... I think I'll go ahead and make the reservations just to be safe. It's interesting that for as many times as we've been to the BC, we've never tried the burgers....ordered the Kitchen Sink once but never the burgers :upsidedow

Their burgers are soooooo good!:woohoo: That was actually one of our favorite places when we were there in Oct. I didn't know they switched to ADRs.

Would you recommend the Beach Club with 2 younger kids- ages 9 and 4? My hubby is concerned the Beach Club is too nice/formal for families and more meant for couples and families with older kids. He's afraid of what can occur if a meltdown happens. LOL!
We are comparing against Poly, but nervous about Poly since there is construction and we don't know to what extent it will be in August. It is important to us to have a pool and quick service eating options.

Thanks!

Okay, speaking of DME ... approximately how long will it take to get to the BC once the flight gets in? Or are there too many variables to guestimate?

Depends on if you are getting your own bags from baggage claim or not, but a good bet is 60-90 minutes to just about any Disney resort.

We were there a couple years ago with 10 and 6 and had no problems; going back in March. It's not 'formal' at all.

The pool activities (especially those in afternoon) are great. The nice walk to lots of places (Boardwalk, Epcot, and others) is nice as well.

Agree with PP, it's definitely not formal. We went in September with our 4 year old and 1.5 year old boys and they had the best time. Very relaxing vacation. We spent most of the time at the pool! :cloud9:

:welcome: to the thread!

Absolutely no problem at all having kids at the Beach Club! It is not formal in the least and is appropriate for families with kids of all ages. Even the Yacht Club, which has a reputation of being a little more "stuffy" would be fine for your family.

The pool is awesome!!! Although there is a Quick Service location (The Marketplace) it is not the same as you would find at the Poly- no Mickey waffles :sad2: but if you look at the first page of this thread, post 7, you can read about what is available at the resort.

Let us know if you decide to book a stay here.

Do you have an upcoming stay planned for the Yacht or Beach?

:goodvibes

Booked the BC for July 25th - August 4th with BabyFu18!!! Very excited! :cool1::banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list

You're not kidding! I know a woman who ran off with a mushroom risotto filet or two from Le Cellier. The last I saw her she was screaming maniacally and running toward the CM exit, cackling with joy....

Hi all!

I've been lurking this thread for the last few days and it has been making my excitement even more crazy then it has already been! Lol.

I will be staying at BC from 2/21 until 2/25 (after one night at Pop!) and I will be running the Glass Slipper Challenge. :) Thank you so much for this great thread and all of the information; it's amazing!

I brought two boxes of Fannie May chocolate (a fancy Chicago candy) to the CL CM's at BC last year. They had the boxes behind their desks to share with the CM's. An Edible Arrangement would be appreciated, I'm sure.
Absolutely allowed. Tips (money) are not allowed but gifts (including gift cards) are allowed. And food is greatly appreciated!

Thank you. I am going to have something sent. Right now I'm in the room with what I sure hope is not the beginnings of the flu. Have felt like blah all day. Loaded up on some meds downstairs and I'm going to bed!

Oh. If I wanted to send a letter or email about 2 specific CL CMs that have been especially helpful, where would I send that?

Absolutely! It's very much a family resort. There are babies and kids of all ages there. It's not at all stuffy.

Oh. If I wanted to send a letter or email about 2 specific CL CMs that have been especially helpful, where would I send that?

Here's some info from the Other Useful Info Post.

Thanks for doing this. It really does help the CMs to have complimentary reviews from guests.

Hope you feel better!

Who can I contact if I have concerns about something during my vacation, I have a great suggestion or better still, to compliment something wonderful about my trip or to recognize a CM who helped make my stay magical?
