I feel your pain! We read menus on allears, read threads here, read various disney blogs, and watch any random disney YouTube video we can find. Last night we watched little mermaid. Since we'll be there over SWW we're going to start watching the movies again as a family. Wish I was more help. We're going going crazy over here. Totally impatient. ;)

I assume SWW means Star Wars Weekend. I am a SW geek and wish Disney would add more attractions, or maybe a land dedicated to Star Wars. Unfortunately, we will arrive a week later. Maybe we can plan our next visit during a SWW, and Disney will increase the SW attractions by then. :yoda: :darth:

Can't believe we got it going. :woohoo: We are coming to celebrate my daughters high school graduation! Arriving Monday June 9th and staying till the 14th. My big splurge is to not only stay at the Beach Club (I love writing that:cool2:) but also added in Club Level! :yay::yay::yay: I look forward to possibly meeting the ever helpful and famous TeenaS when w get there. :worship: I have been reading this thread for days and have just loved it from the very beginning. Ninja Mom you have got my wife worried I'm losing it  because I have been laughing out loud so much as I have read this thread, your list of types of people was fantastic! I fell of my stationary bike while reading that. (I'm rehabbing from a total knee replacement :crutches:) I would love any advice you can give me as we have never stayed here, I've just admired from afar a never thought we'd ever stay. Our party consists of me :goofy: my DW ::MinnieMo DD 21 :earsgirl: and the girl of the moment DD18 :earsgirl: and her faithful companion, her Seizure Response Service Dog :dogdance: Milo, all 78 pounds of him. He is a handsome Golden doodle full of energy. TeenaS we should be pretty easy to spot :jumping1:so if you want to go on break when you see us coming :scared1:, I understand. We are not doing he dining plan as we are doing club level, so we only have a few reservations this week. We really want, almost need a balcony as we would like the space to sit and relax with Milo while DD gets an afternoon nap in on most days as if she gets too tired :worried:its no fun for any of us. If we don't have the balcony one of us has to stay right In the room and just read or do something quiet. Any suggestions on how to make sure we have a full balcony? I look forward to watching this thread grow and hope to learn more and once back, contribute. Thanks and have a great day, YO

Yeah and congrats!!!! You are going to love it! My kids still wish Emily from the BC CL would have come home with us. Lol they are phenomenal! These boards are full of wonderful folks too!! Love it here. :-)

We are 35 days out and anxiously counting down. Bringing DSis 48 and we are celebrating our bdays. I turn 51 the day after we arrive! Just have to vent as DSis still doesn't have her theme park ticket so I can't make any FP+ reservations. Time is ticking away. She also hasn't given me any feedback on what she wants to do. Can you spell frustrated!! We go often so I would be content to hang by the pool most of the time but I know she wants to do the parks. Calm me down please!! Where does she fit in that travel partner list??!!

Oh my! That would drive my a type personality crazy. Lol :-)

Woot, woot, woot! It's time for three bananas - Imma coming back to the BC!

Dee - Please add us to the list, we just booked a SV room at the BC from August 17-23.

This will be our first no kid trip, leaving the teen at home to fend for himself. :thumbsup2

Now I'm entering panic mode since we are in our dining window and I haven't begun to plan the menu yet! Time to get cracking and learn this MDE thing.

Ooooh, can't wait.

:offtopic:Almost time to blow this popsicle stand... aka NYC!! I'm headed south where the temp will be triple what it will be here on Friday!! Come Friday and Vero Beach!!:beach:

Add "balcony requested" to your reservation and also confirm the reason why when you talk to IPO. Then 5 days before your arrival date, call IPO again and tell them the reason why you want a full balcony (dog, etc.) ... and I'll see you on Monday when you check-in (unless I'm on a cruise).

I disappeared off the face of the earth, but I am back. Not sure if anyone remembers me?! My kids, sister and I ended up staying at POR this past December. We ate dinner at Yachtsman and we were all remembered why we love BC!! My sister loved her first trip so much, she asked when we were going back!!!! My DH said we could not go back until he and I went somewhere first!! Sweet, bring on F&W Festival this September!!! Our first trip away from the kids, well, it's our first trip away ever from them, DS (11) and DD (8) and we will be celebrating 16 years this August!! But I need help!! BC/YC or BWI? I have been reading bit on here and I saw the word refurb., do I stay away then?

I think she fits in under "The one you had to murder".

I'm not real whizzy with that FP+ stuff but can't YOU make the FP+ reservations and then just copy her to your plans? I think you can do that but then I don't really know what the heck I'm talking about, do I??

Yeah for returning!!! I have only stayed at BC and that was fabulous! :-)

Yes it does! This year will be our first and I'm super excited.

In my opinion as a guest, I would never NOT stay at a Disney resort because they are doing rehab. I've been at Disney resorts (YC, BC, GF) during rehabs and never knew it was going on. They do one section at a time and it rarely impacts a guest's stay. If you were impacted by noise (all noise work is done between 9 AM and 5 PM) or something else (can't imagine what it would be), then just walk down to the front desk (never call) and ask to talk to someone (preferably a manager) about your rehab problem. They will either move your room or move you to another resort (subject to availability of course). However, I'm 99% positive in September the rehab will not even be started ... only possibility I would guess to see any rehab work in September would be CL lounge and that's a long shot too for September. Again, this is just my opinion as a guest ... not as a CM. Most people who go to Disney every year have stayed at a Disney resort during rehab and never even knew it.

So excited. We just changed our plans to do a split stay and booked 4 nights at the Yacht Club. We stayed at the Beach Club last year and LOVED it. Can't wait to try the Yacht Club and spend time at Stormalong Bay again.
