Do you need reservations for breakfast or lunch at Captains Grille? We have a couple of resort days planned on our October trip and I think it would be nice to have lunch or breakfast their on one of those days but would prefer to leave it open in case we want to sleep in etc and not be tied down to a time

Cannot wait for the morning to reveal our stay at the YC to our kiddos! We are going to have an egg scavenger hunt in the morning - and the prize basket at the end is full of Disney related things - including our family's welcome packet, Disney gift cards, and rice Krispy treats I made that are Mickey shaped with white chocolate ears coated w Easter colored jimmies on a Popsicle stick! They look adorable!

This is extra special - when my son was 3 he was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma ( a rare form of childhood bone cancer). He had less than a 50% chance of survival. He had to have half his leg amputated.

Just to have him survive was a miracle - this is just icing on the cake!!!1

Be Our Guest! It's official. Staying at BCV Dec 15th-22nd. So excited for a week of Disney holiday magic with just me and my SO. He's not so much of a DA, but I bet he's going to have a great time. We stayed at YC for 2 nights in October last year for F&W and he had a great time! Can't wait to introduce him to all the other Magic! We're from Seattle, so December in Orlando is pretty great for us. We don't care about the weather, we're going to figure out how to make SAB our best friend. The sand under our toes after days of walking in the parks and around the world... it's going to be awesome. Now, to figure out the Seahawks schedule and a plan of where to watch the game. Hopefully the NFL will release their schedule for an Easter surprise!

I'm pretty sure you don't. Others have reported no wait in the morning and in July we were seated for lunch without reservations with no problem.

Hi Robyn! It's been awhile since I've posted! Lately off and on I have lurked to see what the latest is on my favorite forum!! Hello to Dee, Teena, DM, Ninja, YCFAN, and everyone else!

It sounds like you have a nice trip planned. The best thing at Universal parks is the FOTL when staying onsite. We loved that a few years ago. Of course we are seeing a lot of ads up here for the new Harry Potter land opening up this summer. I'm sure we'll need to get back there!

Hmmmm....DIS meet on Aug 18th?! I would love to be there...my daughter keeps begging for a mother-daughter trip this summer haha.

Next month we are headed to Hawaii. Our last four nights (first week in June) are in Oahu staying at the Aulani (first 10 are in Maui). I have never taken a trip for this long (nor this expensive! That part scares me!).

Anyway enjoy your spring break!!

I think I have your email address, so I will send you a message asking about your plans for the trip. We are doing two weeks away in July and I am a little intimidated by being away for that length of time. We have 4 nights in Disneyland, 4 nights in Oahu, 4 nights in Maui and 1 night at the Big Island.

We were at the Captain's Grille last month and I asked them about breakfast reservations. They told me that it really only gets busy on Sunday mornings and rainy mornings.But otherwise there is usually no problem with getting a table.
