Hi everyone!

Does anyone know how busy Mizner's Bar is on a Saturday night?

Thank you

Sue Our friends were in that room...and yes they said it was a TPV room??? ...While the daytime view was just ok...the night time view really was :cloud9:...Can't seem to find those pics though....lol... ...
Looks like the tree would obstruct most of the view!

Tomorrow my countdown goes to double digits - 99 days to go :dancer: for Poly :-D. Totally off topic, lol

Who wishes she was at GF right now?? This gal!!! ::yes::

And probably everyone else reading this post - LOL! What a loooooooooooooong, frustrating week! But, I take solace in knowing only 5 more days until I hit the 180 day mark for ADRs!!! :goodvibes
It seems to go so much faster after the 180 day mark because then you're counting down to the 60 day mark for
Fast pass+ reservations:)

Me me me!!!!! :dance3:..sorry that you are not having the best week.... FIVE days till that 180 day mark:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:..definitely a good pick me up!!!

Thanks for sharing in my excitement!!!

Dispro - you only have like 17 days until your next trip!! After your tough month and a sick DD I bet you are on pins and needles counting down the days! Hopefully you have a better BC CL experience than some recent reports - you'll definitely have to let us know!

Woo hoo! Happy counting down for you too Sue!

For some reason when I read this I started signing "99 calendar pages on the wall, 99 calendar pages...take one day and pass it around...99 calendar pages on the wall!" Hahaha! Probably good the I don't quit my day job for songwriting! My doggies are the only ones who seem to like my made up songs with their names added to the chorus!

Tomorrow is my 99 day countdown, not that I'm counting or anything but it still seems an eternity!
It does always seem to take a really long time to get to that next vacation, but I have to admit that "playing" here on the DIS and "living vicariously through the vacations of others" as Loveshak said has seemed to make my time go faster! I've been watching other people's countdowns and not obsessing over mine as much:)

And yes Loveshak, I am getting excited about my upcoming trip, even though it's not GF! I am hoping that my experience at BC is a good one since it was good last time:) So Blue... where are you going in 31 days?? I didn't realize your trip is so close either.

Sue since I changed my dates I can't remember when you said you were going? I know Beth and maybe mommarosa will be there with me(at poly tho).

I feel like loveshak, I can't wait ! Dd and I are already planning matching outfits for the trip. For Mother's Day she had a shirt made with a mickey head cut out of a Lilly Pulitzer fabric to match my shorts and embroidered with my initials. So cute!!!!

No worries...there are definitely rooms with unobstructed TPVs...just an reminder...I have always said that the GF does its best to accommodate guest requests..I would not have the expectation that you will definitely be placed in Boca Chica...Cnch Key and Sago Cay also have TPV rooms....

The convenience of staying at a monorail resort if you have a trip that is centered around the MK particularly with young children as Dispro said is really wonderful...and I agree with the suggestion that if extra space is an issue a deluxe room would give you that..be about $60 night less than a TPV room! Something to think about...:thumbsup2

A deluxe room is the size of a standard room plus an extra sitting area that includes a chair, daybed, coffee table and an extra television too..a nice bit of extra space for a family to spread out in...these are part of the turret area in each building...which gives the rooms the bump out...and I think all have either courtyard or marina views....There are quite a few pictures of this room category on the WDW site...and a few here as well....

It wont show availability for that room. And when i check the website it says its only available for 3 adults.

MickeyNut Thank you for quoting this post...seems Jenn9 and I were posting at just about the same time...and I missed this post...

You're welcome....thank you for your very informative post explaining RPC TPV room locations :goodvibes.

Staying in the monorail loop with small children is much more convenient! Personally, I would give up the TPV if you have to to get a bigger room in the loop. What about booking a deluxe room?

I agree :thumbsup2.

Does anyone here have any comments or reviews regarding the pools at GF? DH and I have stayed at YC/BC for our last four trips and are considering GF, but I would love to hear what GF fans have to say about the pools!

As BlueSkies posted, there are 2 pools at the GF, both of which are very nice :).

Add me to the list of those wishing they were at the GF now :cloud9:.

Yay for your ADR day coming up soon :yay:......hope you get everything you want!!

Oh and Blue you only have like 31 days too don't you?? Happy dance for us all party:

We can all live vicariously through each other as we all count down our trips!!!

I don't have a trip coming up soon, I hope everyone who does enjoys the anticipation :wizard:.

I just wanted to say hello. I booked my first trip to the Grand Floridian yesterday after a long reservation journey that started at the BC, moved to the Poly, and finally ended at the GF. To say I'm excited is an understatement. It will be my husband, dd (2.9), ds (10 months) and myself for 9 nights in September. I'm sure I will be back with questions :) We are in an outer building lagoon view room. Any recommendations for building requests? I'm thinking Big Pine Key for proximity to the Beach Pool.

I just peeked at web site. Not the Main bld deluxe king , there is a deluxe room that shows sleeps 4. It now does sleep 6 with the addition of a sleeper sofa. Disney is very slow with updating their own site:sad2: View attachment 96338

The deluxe room we had in July right after reno was still for 5 with a daybed. The King Deluxe in the main building is occupancy of 3 even though it has a sleeper sofa in the turret rooms. King Deluxe is occupancy of 3 because they cannot guarantee that you will get a turret room. The king deluxes on the 2nd floor are standard size rooms with king and daybed. Would be nice if they bad the turret king deluxe bookable for 4, there is even enough room for a rollaway in those.

Since I have not been in all the deluxe rooms, I don't know if any have a sleeper instead of the day bed. However, I have a neighbor with 4 year old triplets and a 6 year old and they would not let them book the deluxe room for this summer they ended up getting two standards.

Pick what is important to you. If the pool proximity is it Big Pine is nice. Some want quiet or close to bus stop or boat dock. It really is personal preference. Things really are not too far away at GF. We have only stayed in Main, Sugarloaf and Sago and not at any time did I feel like anything required a long walk.

We prefer quiet and no connecting door so those are always our requests.
