The path to Poly is very pleasant. I like to walk there then take monorail back. It's about 20 min at a stroll.
We enjoyed our Boca Chica pool view. All rooms do have balconies. Beware some of the upper floor rooms are dormer, so they're a little smaller and balcony has solid wall. So you can't see out sitting down. Personally I don't like these rooms, but it's a personal preference, as some love them, and make that their request.

The walk to Poly is nice, as Sue said, but I prefer the boat. It's really peaceful (at night especially), and it is faster...we seem to always be running late to our dinner reservation at 'Ohana. We do enough walking at the Parks, so I prefer to take the boat when I can. We like to take the boat back from MK too as opposed to the monorail. The monorail is faster going from GF to MK, but the boat is faster going back. Enjoy your trip!

Are we talking about getting to Poly from GF or MK? I read it to be options from GF to Poly but I didn't realize there was a boat that went between the two? Or is it the returning boat from MK that stops at GF then Poly and so you jump on that? Or is it an actual dedicated boat between the two? I love learning new tips and options for transportation! We'll be there in November so the weather should be nice, and we have a lot of down time on this trip, so I'm looking forward to the walking path between the two but like to know about the boat options because I do love riding the boats at WDW!

Just another thought on my Friday Floridian fact...lol....Bermuda Bahama ..come on pretty mama...C'mon...sing along...lol....

Most standard rooms at the GF have the traditional set up of 2 queen beds and a day bed..and I would think that they would place a family of 5 in a one of those rooms...I also think that the maximum occupancy is 3 in a standard room with a king bed?? I'm pretty sure these have a day bed and not a pull out that is in the deluxe king rooms...which is an entirely different room category.. But not positive if that has changed since the refurb?? Bed rails are available upon request..:thumbsup2...Not sure about the moving of the furniture as we have never tried?? Dosent seem likey though.. TPV rooms have such a wonderful view..and are in Sago, Conch and also as you mentioned Boca Chica....If you requested BC I am sure you will enjoy it..its a very centrally located outer building .. but....lol...with a TPV room booked I would recommend Conch Key...which is also is a central location and has terrificc TP views....:goodvibes

Those tower rooms in SL are so very nice...:thumbsup2..we enjoy that extra tv / sitting space a lot....Just a heads up..the room on the 4th floor 6420 does not have a balcony...so if this is important to your family then you should request 6220 (enclosed balcony...as its part of the portico roof line..) or 6320...(traditional railing)... :wizard: Hope that you get your request!

Well Sue I think I see a shopping trip in your future...Your charms sounds so nice..and you might "need" a few more to balance out your bracelet! ::yes::;)

I know that your question has been answered...just wanted to say Congrats on your first GF visit!! :goodvibes ..I bet it won't be your last...BTW that courtyard pool view from Boca Chica is lovely! :cloud9:

Hope that everyone is having a super Saturday....:flower: preppy GF gal...who will eventually get the hang of posting a picture!??????????????????

Oh, don't tempt me! Our CAD$ is so bad now  we loose something like $0.20 on the dollar, ugh. So not much suvie shopping for me.

Blue - don't feel bad about inserting the pics! I've messed that a couple of times already and still mess up multi-quotes and have to go back and edit my posts! I think I finally got the hang of multi-quotes :rotfl:

It is the boat from MK, goes to GF, then Poly.

I prefer taking the boat back from MK too, much more pleasant. But not sure if it's faster! Last trip one day I took the boat & my daughter took the monorail (I left first) and she still beat me, lol.

We have only found that to be true if there are several boat loads of people ahead of you in line. We try to leave MK ahead of the crowds so this doesn't happen...I guess that could happen if the boat wasn't full and they waited a bit to fill it up...or if they weren't running as many boats as usual. I still really like the boat because it's annoying to stop so many times to unload and reload the monorail before reaching GF. At least the boat doesn't stop once you're on it:) I guess it's a bit of my personal preference.

Sue Sorry about that exchange rate..:crazy2: ... Just in case though...using some Disney logic here...lol... wanted to mention that the Disney store online still has some chamilia charms available..and they are all on sale... there is a limited selection...but all under $50...
You did it!:cheer2:

That's a great picture. Thanks for posting it.
You are very welcome! :goodvibes Just noticed that you are pretty new to the DIS..so :welcome:....and happy planning!!! :thumbsup2

Yay!! Beautiful! I need that because DD11 is still sick so I haven't been out of the house all week!

Oh no ..sorry that your DD is still home sick...there are some nasty bugs going around....Sending get well wishes....hope that she starts to feel better soon...

MickeyNut It was great catching up this afternoon! :hyper2:

Thanks for the get well wishes for my DD, Loveshak and Blue. Spring came late but with a vengeance, so her Oak tree allergy caused a pretty nasty sinus infection. She's been on antibiotics since Tuesday but still had fever today! Crazy! We pay a ton of money for private school, and I basically homeschooled her all week...and failed miserably! We only have one week of school left and she's so behind! Ugh...if I can just make it until vacation!

Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day :flower3:.

All the pics everyone is posting are great, thanks for sharing :goodvibes.

Blue ~ It was great chatting with you today, I had fun catching up ::yes::.

Dispro ~ I hope your DD is feeling better .

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!! :wizard:

My Happy Mother's Day picture!

I have gotten a few Disney beads, when they carried the other brand, but they fit Pandora. I have Snow Whites Apple, the Make a Wish charm, and another, lol. Can't remember! It was that shop on the right. Had a big display case in front, square. Also sold Watches & Dooneys. Then another display case in back.

I have such a mix of the old Chamilla, new Pandora and some Disney charms (neither of those so no clue where they came from) DS got me for Christmas. One thing I like about Pandora is the "safety catch" on my new necklace. It's a small bead a couple of inches on either side you actually have to screw the charm over it so they don't all fall off when I take it off.

I LOVE my Dooney bag. I was afraid I wouldn't use it because it is twice the size of my old purse. I actually find things quicker!

Did I do it???? Lol....

Yea! I expect many more now!

And something to wake up to:

so excited for our first visit to GF in July. Couple questions for the pros...... How long is the walk to Poly? Better to take the boat? Do all the rooms have full balconies? I requested Boca Chica and would like a good view of pool ... Anything else I should request.
I stay at poly often. I like to take monorail from poly to go to gf then boat back. But! Sometimes I will walk one of the ways if the weather cooperates! I am a fast walker and don't know time just know it is a lot faster than my CR to MK walk.

That sunrise picture is absolutely amazing! I'm never up that early, so thanks for sharing:) I'm loving all this picture sharing! And big purses are awesome! They're kinda like diaper bags for adults -lol! I have band aids, sunscreen, bottled water, energy bars/snacks, etc (and a wallet) in mine. Yours is new so be careful not to make it too heavy with stuff like I do!

I agree, I love taking the boat back. We left MK around 4ish, so no ferry line. But I think I just missed a boat. Daughter beat me by just a few minutes, even though I had a head start!

Beautiful pics! Yes, my Disney beads are Camillia I guess? My Pandora bracelet has the things you have to screw beads over too. Very handy.

When I stayed at Poly & had dinner at GF, I took monorail over, and walked back. Helped digest dinner. But that was a January trip. If this Aug is as hot as last year, I'm not sure if I'll walk!! May be boat back!!

To all of the women out there..moms, aunts , cousins, godmothers , friends, teachers ..who give of themselves and who care for and mentor others....I wish you a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!! :flower2: I hope that whatever you are doing that your day is GRAND!! :goodvibes

Liz Gorgeous photos!!! Thanks 4 posting them!!

I am trying to post another pic...and I keep getting the file to large error again!!!??? :crazy2:...lol...
