Checked into RPC King deluxe room this morning. First time back since rooms were redone. Love the new look! So pretty & elegant! Have a nice view of the castle although we are on the second floor again. If we ever stay here again, think I'd book a standard or just theme park view so we're closer to the lounge.
We took a town car from the airport. I did not do online check in. It was pretty chaotic when we were dropped off. We're used to bell men being right there to help with luggage but that didn't happen. We had to go to bell desk & ask for luggage to be taken to storage. No one outside to greet us. But as soon as we walked into the building, there was a man in a suit & 2 women with iPads. The man immediately greeted us & asked our name. He introduced himself as a guest experience manager (don't remember his name but is that a new position?) & introduced one of the women who was waiting to check us in. So I think they were notified by the guard house & were expecting us. The woman had our packet in hand, escorted us to the lounge & completed our check in there. Only thing missing is a list of the lounge offering times. Might have to ask about the times for snacks & tea tomorrow.
Went to lunch at Gasparillas & got our room ready text as we waited for our food. We split a pizza & the special of the day: a steak sandwich with home made chips. Pizza was good but that sandwich was very yummy!! And of course... those chips!
Bed is very comfortable. AC is great, maybe a little too cold in the room, lol! Went to Epcot for awhile. Crowds not bad, monorails & buses not crowded at all. Didn't go down to beach yet, but the new rocks & fence look nice from the monorail.
Dinner was at Chefs of France. Very good meal! Loved the salad & the salmon with rice pilaf was very good too. Had intended to go to MK since it's open til 12. But since we've been up since 4 am, we decided to call it a night after dinner. Loving everyrhing so far!!
Oh yea, the mint foot cream was in the room!
