Sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing pictures!

Enjoy your peace and quiet in that beautiful room!!

Oh I will. I have changed my FP around a bit so I'm at the resort most of the morning and then head to whatever park I'm scheduled to be at between 1230 and 1. This way I can take advantage of the CL breakfast, eat lunch at GF and then head to the parks.

Btw...I understand that there have been a few CL lounge changes..there is now a carving station a few nights of the week...and..don't shoot the messenger on this on...but...there is also someone serving wine in the evenings....:duck:..ala the Beach CLub..and maybe the YC too?? Soooo maybe you can get some pics of those things too...Its always about the food..and the drink too...lol...

:crazy2::headache::mad::scared::sad::sad1::sad2::rolleyes2o_O:confused::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint::faint:

So, Beth, does this mean you're NOT happy????? :rotfl::rotfl2: The carving station sounds interesting, doesn't it?

I have settled on a new booking (for now..:rolleyes:). Sis and I agreed that we would not be as happy unless we booked a deluxe, so I booked AKL (that was the one with the best discount). Ordinarily, we want to be near the monorail, because if we can't stay at the GF, at least we can get there easily and camp out when we are not at a park. We just love hanging out in the lobby and walking the grounds! :lovestruc:lovestruc

Blue, yep, unless I change us again, maybe we can finally meet! :hug:

I was ready to be content (or try to be) at PO Riverside, and we may still end up there...but for now, we're deluxe gals once more! :bounce:

Btw, congrats on the pixie dust, Animalkingdom!!

MickeyNut Of course its always about the food!! :flower:

::yes::

And Blue, I think I packed everything... I'll know soon since we're only two hours away from Disney now! Well, we're shopping tonight, but I'll know when we check in to BC tomorrow! I have no idea how we will fit our new stuff in the car...but I'm so excited, I'll worry about that next Saturday!! We are totally avoiding the GF so we won't be sad...
Have a great trip :wizard:.

I hope so Mickeynut1!! Let's see...only 169 days to go!
The time will go by fast :cool1::cool1:.

What would people vote for between arriving on our first day and doing tea CL or booking a tea time at the Garden View Tea Room? My current plan is to arrive, check in, relax, and then hit afternoon tea in the CL. Would it be a good start to the vacation though to book the full experience at the tea room? Thanks for opinions!!!

If we just do CL tea on arrival day, does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to get same day reservations if we just want to play it by ear on whether to do the tea room on one of our resort days?

If it were me, I think I'd opt for tea in CL on arrival day. I would be too nervous about a possible delay to make an ADR for the first day (but that's just me). We've never done the tea room so I don't know how easy or hard it is to get a reservation, but hopefully others who have done it will be able to give some input :).

One Week and Two Days, and I'll actually be at the Grand Floridian!!! These pictures make me so excited!!! :worship::flower::flower1::yay:

:cool1::banana::cheer2:

I checked into today from Poly due to the construction and was put in a main bldg - Deluxe King - CL Room 4430. When I walked in I turned to the CM who showed me up to the room and was like this is really my room and she said yep. I guess going through two days of construction outside my room at Poly was worth it if it means staying here. Yeah to Disney Pixie Dust.

Congrats on the pixie dust!!! Enjoy that beautiful room :wizard:.

Beautiful pic, thanks for posting :goodvibes.

So far it's been very relaxing, almost like being on two completely different vacations.

Glad to hear you are having a nice, relaxing stay :).

Sitting in my room, listening to all the Disney music that's being played down stairs and really liking it. There is something relaxing about it.

:cloud9:

AKL is an awesome resort, you will have a great time if you stay there :goodvibes.

Thanks. One of the best night stays at a WDW resort in a long time. Arranged it so they will just auto check me back in tomorrow morning since I have to take the first park bus to HS out of here in the morning. It looks like I will cost me about $1000 out of pocket total for the transfer to GF, but boy is that money well spent.

Glad they are able to make it easy for you as far as checking back in ;). The GF is an amazing resort. We have enjoyed all of the resorts we've stayed at, but the GF is one of the most relaxing, IMO :goodvibes.

Thanks and the deluxe king - CL in the main building is a great room. Just sitting in bed, typing away and looking out my eight window's.

Sounds heavenly :cloud9:.

I need some help from one of you tech-saavy people! I am trying to make a new vacation countdown, and somehow when I got ready to "copy", I added some red underlining to the text. I cannot figure out how to remove it because I don't know how it got there (what key I mistakenly hit), and the ticker will not appear except as that red underlined text when I preview it!
Anybody??

Ok- we were booked at the BCV and I just switched to the VGF - 1 BR Lake view! So excited!! I wonder what the chances are of getting a discount for it. :tink:

Tea in the CL lounge!!! Dd and I love the tea room but we don't do it when staying gf CL!

So much of the offerings at the tea room you will get for free at CL lounge AND you can help your self! Dd always makes a plate of scones up for later and has with ether appies;)

Note to others: dd has gotten to-go items from the tea room. She likes to buy the cans of tea for at home too.

However, if you haven't tried the tea room later in the week for something to do isn't a bad a bad idea since you won't have any transportation issues. Can't have too many of those great desserts.
