Blessings to your little one today!

:goodvibes:

Thank you Dee. The day went really well. Sunny getting into church and hailstones getting out :scared1:

Granny enjoyed every minute as did the main man lol. The school hold a tea party for everyone after the service and he went around finding the buns and traybakes I'd made as apparently they're the best!
High praise from an 8 year old:rotfl2::rotfl2:

He's now back in joggers and tshirt playing footy in the garden. So glad he's wearing that suit again in 7 weeks for big sisters wedding:thumbsup2
18 years ago someone told me the next time my daughter would be in a long white dress would be her wedding day! That seems like a blink of an eye ago so enjoy very moment with your kids because before you know it they're all grown up
I know those of you with kids nearing college will totally get what I mean. Pass the tissues ( and maybe the wine) lol
Thanks again everyone for everything :goodvibes

Sorry I was typing as I speak. Didn't think that you might not understand lol
I will go back and see if I can figure out which has words need translating or feel free to ask. I promise I won't be offended or annoyed. Sometimes I forget that while we all speak English it isn't necessarily the same 'English '.

Well, my baby just came home today from her VERY last day of high school. My baby. How on earth do I get past this? She will graduate next Saturday, and then less than 3 months from now we will be driving her 3 states away. Did I mention that she is MY BABY....

Should be excited for her during this time, but it's just too hard. Should be looking forward to our Anniversary trip, but that just means that she will be gone. There's not enough Kleenex to get me past today.

My oldest (of two girls) is going to be a junior in high school and I am already freaking out! I picked up my younger daughter from her last "official" day of fifth grade yesterday, and I was crying in the car! My husband works (and travels) all the time, so my girls are my whole life! My older daughter wants to get as far away as possible for college, so I feel your pain there. Most recently, she wanted to go to Washington State (and we live in TN)! Just keep focusing on that anniversary trip! I have a feeling that I will be traveling with hubby a lot:)

Looking for some advice/input for our last day. Normally we check out bags in at the resort check in. Pack our backpacks with our clothes and enjoy SAB for the day. We change in the locker rooms and catch DME to the airport. We are on our "normal" timed flight home departing at 5:15pm. This trip we decided to mix it up a bit. We are having breakfast that day at 1900 Park Fare at 10:35am. I figured we would take the bus to MK and then either take the monorail or ferry to Grand Flo. I've got two questions regarding our plan. First up is what time do you think we should depart BC? I've never been to the GF so I don't know how the ferry or monorail work in regards to their timing. My next question is we will checkout of BC before we leave and check our luggage in at the resort. Can we catch the DME at any other resort? Is there some type of schedule (I seem to remember a few pages ago someone asking for timing of pick up at BC) at the various other resorts? We've never had a chance to really check out the MK resorts and thought we might take that day to go explore them after breakfast and leave to MCO from one of them. Thanks in advance!

Oh :grouphug:
This years trip is in response to my panic attack (after we got back from last years trip) that this summer is the likely the last whole family trip with the kids still "kids"-my oldest is a senior in the fall and turns 18. I am already in hard denial that she will be moving away to college in a year or so...I am sure to be a complete mess by time my youngest is ready for college...

Oh man, that's enough to make ME cry! I'm already dreading my kids being teenagers. I can't even thing about them finishing high school. I'm totally gonna be that mom that goes to college with her kids! It's possible I may have problems.

Hey, folks, just 'cause they graduate, doesn't mean they never go with you again...

Three years ago, we did a FAMILY trip with kids and their spouses (three rooms at the BC) and it was a blast, as the spouses hadn't been there before, or it was they were so young that they didn't remember anything...

Then, (and this is my most favorite trip so far!!) about a year and a half ago, my daughter (who was 6 months pregnant) and I went on a Mom & Daughter trip...so very special...now, in addition to the trip my hubby and I are taking this fall to celebrate our Anniversary, I'm really really really looking forward to the trip with our first grandbaby (who was there already, although he wasn't born yet!)

They are your kids forever...graduating and moving out is just a milestone...a big one...but one of many more to come....

Sheesh...now I'm tearing up...is it too early for that bottle of wine?

I totally understand how you all feel with the kids leaving home. Trust me, they never really leave. They might be living 3000 miles away but you will always be a huge part of their lives and they will need you as much as they do now. I cried buckets full when Jeanne left for college and then when she moved 3000 miles away. But we are closer than ever now .... more friends than mother/daughter.

Thanks for posting that! ....although I am crying now:) that's such a great story, and I know my girls will ALWAYS go to Disney with us...as long as we're paying-lol!

I know the 5th floor club level rooms have been renovated recently but the rooms are already seeing a lot of wear and tear. Here's the condition of our roomimage.jpg

Ive just realised I need to change my countdown seeing as how we have changed our dates, but I dont want my Mickey pin to start over again, major dilema!

Somebody posted this: "Beach Club Villas Studio Fridge question! I checked the room photo thread that Dee has on the first page but I don't think my answer is there. On the remote chance that we don't finish a 750ml bottle of wine, is the Studio fridge large enough to accommodate this bottle (standing up)."

I stayed in a BCV studio in 2012 and I must have taken a picture of everything in the room except the fridge! I will be back at BCV in a studio at the end of July and will take a picture of the fridge and measure it then, but I don't know when your trip is so that might be too late to help you.

Here's a picture of the fridge in a studio at Animal Kingdom Lodge's Jambo House, but I don't know if the fridge at BCV is exactly the same. (Note how I cleverly put a gallon bottle of water in there when I took the photo to give an idea of the size.)

If it's the same one that is in the resort rooms, the door also has plenty space for one or more bottles of wine standing up...

I'm one of the moms who has a child graduating this year. To all the others-Congratulations! While i know this is so very bittersweet I find for myself that I am just very grateful that DH &I are both able to celebrate this milestone and that he will still have one set of grandparents there to share in his day. I really look forward to (my baby!) taking his next step towards adulthood and can't wait to hear all his stories of new friends and new experiences. So I hope you enjoy helping them prepare for their next adventure and of course keep the tissues and bottle of wine close!
