It's just not even close to what I had it the one bedroom villa kitchenette. I am seriously reconsidering. If I am only really getting a microwave and small countertop, why not just do a standard BC room. I get the same fridge.

The regular BC rooms are nicer than the BCV studio. They have two queen beds while the studio has one queen bed and one sofa bed. The BC room is a little wider, too. One thing the studio has, besides the little kitchenette is that the room will have a balcony. Only about 50% of the BC rooms have a full balcony. But I would always take a BC room before taking the studio since the rooms are nicer. :)

The 1, 2 and 3 bedroom DVC Villas do not have a kitchenette they have full size, fully equipped kitchens. There is a huge difference.
If the studio kitchenette with sink fridge, microwave and toaster does not appeal to you, I would definitely go with a regular BC room instead.

Adorable! :-)

Asked on my own thread, but I'll ask here too since it's so helpful... Can you only get beer deliveries from garden grocer or wego shop? Thanks!

Bumping!

Not sure if you have received an answer from anyone. I think one of the delivery services will deliver beer/alcohol, but I believe you need to be in the room to accept delivery so that they can check your age.

But I have not used either service so I am not sure which one (wego shop, maybe)

Hopefully you can get some actual helpful info from someone here.

I just posted pictures from my trip in August of the Ale & Compass breakfast area in the Yacht Club lobby in the Ale and Compass thread (Yes,Virginia, there really is an A&C thread)

Thanks for putting together another wonderful facts threads. Your hard work is very much appreciated. :goodvibes

I'm starting to seriously plan our upcoming trip to the YC in only 18 days. :woohoo:

If there is anything you need me to find out, explore, or otherwise be nosy about, just let me know. ;)

I am not happy with these pictures, the first one especially is blurry. If you are in this area during your trip, could you re-take this picture for me and maybe ask what the breakfast hours are. I believe they open at 6:30 am but I didn't confirm this while I was there.

Thanks!

Open for Coffee and Continental Breakfast in the morning

There were two stations with all the coffee fixings:

Has there been an update as to whether the lazy river is open again or is work still going on? TIA

Hello:wave2:

DH & I used Garden Grocer on our first trip (9/13 @ CBR) and we did get beer. When I ordered online, I had to send (pdf image) a copy of my driver's license as proof of age. We were at the park when the order was delivered so bell services held on to it until we called them for delivery. When it was brought to our room, they just brought all the bags in. We were not asked for an id a second time (but one look at us and you could tell that we were "of age").

Loved the service and plan on using them again for our 2015 trip. Hope that helps!:thumbsup2

Hey all! I know my May 2015 trip is very far away but I am trying to plan as best as possible so bear with me! For those of you who have experienced it, how has the temporary club level lounge been? (If I should expect it for our stay at YC many months from now...possibly!!) We'd prefer YC to BC.

If we were to switch to BC for the (again, possibly May 2015) finished lounge, we stay standard view CL. We really fell in love with the full balcony at YC, enjoyed having coffee in the am. Our 6 stays at BC have all been standing balcony only. I know there is a likelihood of not getting a request met, but has anyone stayed BC CL standard view with a full balcony? Thanks!!! :flower3:

Trying to decide what to do about my flights. If we land at 2:45pm is it reasonable to think we would have enough time to do DHS that afternoon (closes 10pm EMH) or MVMCP?

If not, I will just come down on the less expensive later flight (land 8pm) or come in the previous day. Only concern with coming in previous day is that YC isn't avail, so would have to do POR for that first night and then move over to YC.

woo...y'all move fast!

46 days till YC!

I don't know how we are going to go back to a GV room after the Commodore Suite in July..LOL. My DD is already saying she will miss having her own room!

It's official!!!:cool1: we are booked BC Club level 1/24-1/31, It will be a surprise trip for our girls so all they will know is we are going to breakfast that Saturday morning. All ADR's are scheduled. Now to wait till 60 day sout for fastpasses. Fingers crossed for a nice 35% off room discount like the past 2 years

I've not been to the BC that time of year, but we stayed AKL that same week last year. Everything was virtually a walk on. It was wonderful!

our last 4 trips have been the last week of January! We were able to swim 3 of those trips. Crowds were super low and never really needed fast passes. One year the longest wait was for the bus to POFQ!

Where are your favourite places to have counter service breakfasts when you are staying at the beach club??? We arrive on Tomorrow, can't wait!

They might only be iPhone quality, but I'll give it a shot. :thumbsup2

I would give yourself at least two hours from touchdown to check in. And then the boat to DHS would be about a 20 minute ride plus however long you have to wait for it. You could definitely get over there and spend a good amount of time at DHS. You can walk to the resort from DHS and avoid the long wait for a boat when the park closes. We always walk back at night. :)

I wouldn't try for the MVMCP, though. It would be too stressful, especially if there was any kind of flight delay. :)
