This months best post award goes to.....drum roll.....HockeyMomR. Bam!! Awesome. Maybe this will take me off the force at chair piggie patrol in June!! I've been wondering about @ninjamom too...I tagged her in a Saratoga chair piggie post on a trip report...thought for sure she'd chime in!!!
That is some serious green sunken treasure action!! If I dip an apple in there will it turn into a skeleton head?
Thanks Rosebud123 and Dee for the advice on a Y&Y ADR! Between last night and this morning, a bunch of folks must have released reservations that they no longer needed.
I was able to get ADRs at Y&Y, Beaches & Cream, San Angel Inn, Spice Road, and Via Napoli.
I was so inspired by Ninja Mom's posting a picture of the Black Bart gang that I am bookending our MK day with breakfast at Kona Cafe and the early show at Hoop-Dee-Doo.
DH has left the entire trip itinerary (parks, FP+, and dining) totally up to me and wants it to be a surprise. His only request was to keep in mind that with BCV as our home resort, that we should be making the most of our location and dine “locally” as much as possible. I think I got that covered!
Thank you again for all the advice as to what to expect when scheduling ADRs. The stress is gone (at least until my first attempt at Fast Passes!![]()
I have to do this. What fun! I bet there are restaurants on there I've forgotten about. I highly recommend the food trucks at DTD. We loved them our last trip.I've been going to Disney for too many years. I got more of them that I thought I would.

As if I weren't already excited enough!! Awesome picture! I will be there soon
Getting ready to go to SAB tonight. Here is our room view. Not the best, but we have a nice oversized room and has been great to have the extra square footage for our family! Has been a terrific stay.

When we stayed at BC I was advised by someone on here any room between 1501-1530 are close to the secret entrance, so that's what we requested. We also requested a ground floor room as most balconys are juliette ones. We got room 1511 and it was opposite ( although you couldnt see it) the UK pavilion. We could hear the bands playing
Our trip is booked - celebrating our daughters 4th birthday. Originally we were doing a split stay at the Poly and Beach Club, but just decided to stay at the Beach Club our entire trip. Dates are 9/20 - 9/27. We are very excited - haven't been back since our honeymoon!
Checked into the BC yesterday. Got our request for a full balcony. Our room is somewhat far from the lounge but it's ok. I know these rooms have been recently refurbished but they're already seeing a lot of wear and tear. The paint on our door is already coming off as well as lots of scuff marks on the furniture and a stain on our floor. I'll post pictures of it later but we're in room 5698

Good Morning Everyone!
Dee: How was the Friday field trip? Hope you had some good weather for it?
Made my Boathouse ADR yesterday, very excited to try that one! Any info on BOG breakfast being extended, like to September?
Please add us to your Nov. list. We will be at BC Nov. 3-5 for F&W. Also hoping that they extend the military discount!
For those that have kids going away to college....When our only child went away to school I got her schedule and put it on the fridge. Every morning I would look at it and felt better knowing where she was at any time during the day.
Finally managed to upgrade our Boardwalk Villa to Yacht Club Garden View for our late engagement celebration
We are staying 24th August until 29th August. I am already bouncing off the walls.
LOVE seeing your pictures! Which room category did you book? Did they put the balloons there waiting for you? It's so lovely. I'm sitting here in another Saturday detention duty dreaming that I am there right now.

We're booked in a standard view CL room. Those balloons weren't actually for us. We were assigned a room early in the morning but before we checked in, I received a text notifying me that our room number had changed. I'm guessing those balloons are for those who were assigned that room before us lol
Sorry I was typing as I speak. Didn't think that you might not understand lol
I will go back and see if I can figure out which has words need translating or feel free to ask. I promise I won't be offended or annoyed. Sometimes I forget that while we all speak English it isn't necessarily the same 'English '.
Ive just realised I need to change my countdown seeing as how we have changed our dates, but I dont want my Mickey pin to start over again, major dilema!
Thanks for this. Can anyone confirm which floors have been refurbished yet please?
Thanks!
Is that a SV room on club level? What room #? We are five and my wife is a little worried about a small room...we have DSx2, 10 and 13 and DD is 15. We will be staying SV CL in a couple weeks.
Just checked in BC !!! CL check in was excellent and we've upgraded to a lagoon pool view
Just amazing view
We are neighbours room 5711
Fireworks view from the room is great!!!
For those who make their own Sunken Treasures, I squeezed half a lime into the batch I made today because it was just a wee bit too sweet. I also just used an ounce for everything (I think the recipe that's been posted has 1.5 shots of midori and a shot for everything else). I really liked the bit of tartness it added.
92 days 'til we check in. I realize I'm going to sound a bit whiny with this, but I'm so looking forward to spending my vacation days on actual vacation and not scrunched up in a hospital bed with my poor heart kid who's had surgery.
Just jumping on here. Doing split stay Jersey Week. Checking into BC on 10/31 then on to POR on 11/4. Will the refurbishment be completed by then? We requested full balcony on our Garden View ressie. It is our only request. On previous trips we always got our first request. We have stayed at BC before when the kids were very young so looking forward to returning. Love love the location. Looked for updated rehab pics of rooms but couldn't find any. Any one have a link or send me to where I can find some pics?
Uggghhh!!!! Just had to spend $700 to change my airline tickets!!! My son was invited to a a free ISEE prep class this summer, which thrilled me. Unfortunately, the program dates were later than anticipated and I had to bump our trip to the first week of Sept. Luckily my "magical" TA was able to switch the dates of our trip. Now we're doing the YC the second half of our vacation, so our new dates are 9/2 - 9/7. Bummed about the airfare but very happy we can still stay at the Poly at the YC for such a great price!!!
Hi we will be at the YC at the end of this week . Unfortunately for this trip we only have a standard view room
Are there any sections you would recommend to request that would be the lessor of this categories evils? Higher floor...a certain wing...close to lobby etc??? We will be doing quite a bit of Star Wars Weekends, so I expect to be walking to HS in the EARLY pre dawn hours- is there somewhere closer I should request for this(for exiting, pathway etc).
Also can you request a microwave, based on availability?
The last time we stayed here (several years ago)it was for 3days before our 7day POP reso. I think we had a Garden View booked, but somehow we ended up family of the day and were upgraded to Club Level Waterview!!!!I don't see that happening again for this trip
....
Thanks for your thoughts!
Thanks much. We did switch to Yacht Club for the full balcony.
My husband and I met the nicest couple and their two daughters at the Beach Club concierge this past weekend. (On Friday May 15) Of course we didn't exchange information, but I know that the husband's name is John. Our kids really hit it off. They had two girls and we have two boys. I wish I would have asked for their info so we could keep in touch. We searched for them on Saturday but never to into than again. If by chance you read this and it's you, private message me! Thanks!
Today is a sorrowful day in our household. On this day we remember the 37 sailors lost in the attack on the USS Stark which I am thankful that my husband survived but other families were not so fortunate. So I was happy to receive my birthday gift from my daughter, son-in-law and grandsons a day early to cheer me up a little bit on this sad day. Thought I would share it with my favorite people on the disboards because I'm sure some of you feel the same way as I do about Disney.
This put a smile on my face!! Look for the mickey head. I am looking forward to my next trip to the Beach Club in August. Can't wait!!!!
Floors 4 and 5 are complete and a little more than half way through floor 3.
Getting ready to go to SAB tonight. Here is our room view. Not the best, but we have a nice oversized room and has been great to have the extra square footage for our family! Has been a terrific stay.
I for one will not do the Golden Spoon, it will show like 30 restaurants and I've been to WDW so many times that shows how boring we are LOL
