Has anyone on this list received a PIN offer for fall? If so, are the dates the same as what is being offered for the free dining offer (basically, excluding the middle of October). We are going to be at BC 10/16 - 23, regardless of any special offers, but a nice discount would sure be nice...and I haven't received a PIN in years!!
I received the pin codes. The dates I received are the same as the free dining offer announced.

Well, my baby just came home today from her VERY last day of high school. My baby. How on earth do I get past this? She will graduate next Saturday, and then less than 3 months from now we will be driving her 3 states away. Did I mention that she is MY BABY....

Should be excited for her during this time, but it's just too hard. Should be looking forward to our Anniversary trip, but that just means that she will be gone. There's not enough Kleenex to get me past today.
hugs for you. I don't know how to deal with that. I can live in denial of that for a while now. Being a mom is the hardest thing!

JanetMom: Love your last statement. very true. My oldest moved away for college.....only an hour away. that was hard. This one tears my heart out. Good thing I had a bottle of wine in the pantry....or maybe Not good thing!!!!
You and I were both glad of the vino last night :rolleyes1

Thanks again to everyone for the good wishes:goodvibes

The day has dawned bright and sunny and I've already phoned my mum and she is feeling good and set to join us
Fingers crossed the sky stays blue like it is right now.

You really are the best group of people :)
Thanks again xx

Blessings to your little one today!

I wish I could give out details about the ceramics class. All I know about it is that the time to wait is not long enough to fire hard in a kiln, so the pieces must be already formed. In my imagination, I'm thinking Disney themed white pieces that a person can paint.

At the Sandcastle Club and For a fee, the whole family can create ceramic masterpieces together on designated days between 1:30pm-3:30pm.

Checked into the BC yesterday. Got our request for a full balcony. Our room is somewhat far from the lounge but it's ok. I know these rooms have been recently refurbished but they're already seeing a lot of wear and tear. The paint on our door is already coming off as well as lots of scuff marks on the furniture and a stain on our floor. I'll post pictures of it later but we're in room 5698

Good Morning Everyone!

Dee:
How was the Friday field trip? Hope you had some good weather for it?

Made my Boathouse ADR yesterday, very excited to try that one! Any info on BOG breakfast being extended, like to September?

xjay: Thanks for the PICS!!! I love trip updates :) The rooms look so nice!!! Hope you have a fantastic trip!

page 299-300

Oh. I forgot one thing that I wanted to mention. We tried beaches and cream this trip. While we enjoyed the food...it was sooooo cold in the restaurant that nobody enjoyed their food. we didn't have this problem anywhere else. We ended up getting the check as quick as possible and getting our ice cream to go. If you have plans to go there soon, I suggest bringing a sweater.

This is one of my pet peeves! I really dislike a cold restaurant, especially when it is really hot outside. I don't want to carry around a sweater just because of the uncomfortable temperature differential between outside and inside.

:cold:

Does anyone know what time the pool usually closes in September?
Thank you.

Not really. The pool hours can change weekly (or even nightly) based on conditions like crowds and weather. I have never been able to get a decent handle on pool hours at different times throughout the year.

:confused3

Hi everyone, I really enjoyed reading though most of this thread.

Which parts didn't you enjoy? ;)

Just kidding, of course! Thanks for the kind words.

Hi everyone, I really enjoyed reading though most of this thread. I think it is great. I had a question I wondered if I could pick people's brains about. My husband and I (with no kids) will be staying at the yacht club in mid August to celebrate our fifth anniversary. It is our first back since our honeymoon five years ago when we stayed at the beach club. My question is what do people suggest for room requests? We generally just use the hotel to sleep and maybe eat breakfast. We like how close the yacht club is to Epcot and Hollywood studios and would prefer to have easy access out to these parks or the busses. Otherwise we just prefer not being next to noisy kids (which we had one night of our honeymoon but the rest was fine.) and so with that long winded was does anyone have recommendations on what to request?

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for August.

:woohoo:

Katesdad responded with some helpful suggestions about a room request.

It is going to be difficult to optimize around who might be your neighbors, so I would put on a request for a location you want. Nothing worse than noisy neighbors, so if you end up with that, you may want to involve resort management to discuss handling unreasonable noise, or request a room change if necessary.

:)

I've been stalking this site and Disney reservations for the past few weeks and finally got our Beach Club rooms for our November trip! Now I'm waiting for the military rates to be released for a discount or we will have to stay at OKW. Crossing my fingers and toes! Looking forward to the Beach Club for so many reasons and can't wait for our stay!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list for November.

:goodvibes:

and THANK you @natebenma and everyone else here for such comprehensive information about this resort. When showing the kids where we were staying I didn't even bother with Disney site-the info here is much much better and more updated!

So glad we could help fuel your kids' excitement for the resort! That's what we are here for.

:cool1:

I received a pin code last week for 30% off good until Dec 21- so I booked YC water view room!!

:rainbow:

I'll adjust the Be Our Guest list.

:)

Beach Club Villas Studio Fridge question!

I checked the room photo thread that Dee has on the first page but I don't think my answer is there.

On the remote chance that we don't finish a 750ml bottle of wine, is the Studio fridge large enough to accommodate this bottle (standing up).

Thanks! :drinking1

Bumping this!

I would love to see some recent photos of the BCV studio fridge, and will be even more interested to see what they put in once the remodeling proceeds.

Thanks for all the good wishes. You guys work your magic fast- just got phone all to say scan showed no clot and she will be getting home now. Think she may need some diuretics increased but all is good and Granny will be there to see the last of the grandkids in his big day :rainbow:
Thanks again. So relieved :woohoo:
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Have a great day

Tarak: I'm really needing to hear he Chardonnay story

We were staying at AKL. At the time, we had three kids - they were seven, six, and three. We had six relatives joining us as well as family friends. Our driver stopped at the grocery (Publix, I think), and I ran in to get a couple bottles of wine and some cheese. On the way back to the car, I was focused on finding the vehicle and not where I was going. I tripped on one of those concrete barriers and went flying. I just asked my husband what those are called and he said, "Tara destroyers?" Thanks, honey. Love you, too. Anyway, the bottle of chardonnay was completely smashed, I was drenched, and my right elbow had a lovely gouge on it from... something. A few cuts from the glass, but nothing too bad. I was really lucky, to be honest. The wine bottles were in one of those reusable totes, so most of the glass stayed inside. The other bottle was miraculously intact. But when we checked into our hotel room, I was toting three young children behind me and reeking of wine. I guess it could have been worse - at least I didn't smash a bottle of scotch.

Ok totally OT but can you please send us some positive vibes. My youngest has a very special day tomorrow and my mum ( his only grandparent) was all set to come with my sister but is now currently sitting in the local hospital as her doctor thinks she may have a dvt in her leg. They'll both be gutted if she can't make it :(. He's the youngest grandchild and mum has been to see them all make their 1st Communion so it's a really big deal for her especially. Thanks for listening to my panic.

I know I'm late on this and it all worked out. So glad your mom was able to go home!

Well, my baby just came home today from her VERY last day of high school. My baby. How on earth do I get past this? She will graduate next Saturday, and then less than 3 months from now we will be driving her 3 states away. Did I mention that she is MY BABY....

Oh, my. My oldest is only 12, but I can only imagine how sad I'll be when she leaves for college, let alone our youngest.

Dee, they do still have the toy story M&G (at least from what I can tell). Amara wants to meet the White Rabbit, for some reason. She's never seen Alice in Wonderland (and could not care less about meeting Alice). I said we'd see what we can do. I'm toying with trying to meet Gaston. He looks like a hoot. A friend of mine did (she said it was quite the wait and this was back in January). She was so nervous, she didn't say anything. Gaston asked her husband how he found the perfect woman - one who didn't speak.

Please add us to your Nov. list. We will be at BC Nov. 3-5 for F&W. Also hoping that they extend the military discount!

For those that have kids going away to college....When our only child went away to school I got her schedule and put it on the fridge. Every morning I would look at it and felt better knowing where she was at any time during the day.

Finally managed to upgrade our Boardwalk Villa to Yacht Club Garden View for our late engagement celebration :)

We are staying 24th August until 29th August. I am already bouncing off the walls.

We check in in 21 days!! DW has requested a upper floor room. Hoping for a refurbished one. First stay at BC. We have always always always been WL people. Finally got brave enough to change. They should be getting close to completing the 3rd floor Im hoping.

LOVE seeing your pictures! Which room category did you book? Did they put the balloons there waiting for you? It's so lovely. I'm sitting here in another Saturday detention duty dreaming that I am there right now. ::yes::

We're booked in a standard view CL room. Those balloons weren't actually for us. We were assigned a room early in the morning but before we checked in, I received a text notifying me that our room number had changed. I'm guessing those balloons are for those who were assigned that room before us lol
