We usually NEVER sit down for breakfast. This is going to be very new for us. Could be a total FAIL......we might scrap the entire plan after day 1 :rolleyes1

But I'm thinking that the week we are going it shouldn't be necessary (notice how I'm trying to convince myself it's going to be OK) to hit the park at opening time.

our experience with CG was not the best, but that was over two years ago...food (buffet) was typical of all the buffets, (with no characters), and even though there were very few people dining, service (seating, beverage orders, check) was VERY SLOW and server was NOT a happy person...could have been a bad day for her, but overall, we were not thrilled. But...like I said, it was over two years ago, and maybe things are better now.

Really liked CG for breakfast the first time we are there in around 2012. Are there last year in May and thought the quality had noticeably declined to the point that we won't eat breakfast there again

Does anyone know if the Japan Pavilion Store (Mitsukoshi) will be open and Pick-A-Pearl available during the extra evening magic hours?

Anyone still trying for BC free dining mid September, they just released some rooms. I was able to modify my "late summer" discount for free dining on a woods view room and it saved me $350! Great way to start my morning on the west coast!
YAY!!!! I just called my TA and was able to do the same thing -- FD for my September trip. We had a RO discount too with garden view. I'm so excited, thanks so much for posting this!!

Tomorrow at this time I will be checked in to the Beach Club for a trip I wasn't sure would ever happen. I just finished 6 months of chemotherapy and scheduled this trip in January as a finish line goal to get through the treatments. I am going with my 23 yo daughter, 2 sisters and 2 friends. The week after I return I will be having mastectomy. Chemo was hard. Much harder than I anticipated, but having this trip scheduled gave me something fun to focus on when things got tough. I can't believe it is finally here! It's going to be good to get away from all this cancer stuff for a few days and just relax and have fun.

It is better than what you have experienced before. Been there a number of times over the years, most recently last December. The DW and I are usually breakfast sit-down type of people. Their buffet is very good, just be careful because it is very easy to over-eat. All the times we were there in December 2014 the wait-staff was excellent. No complaints. You can usually do the CG without advancee reservations but it never hurts to call before you leave the room and tell them you are on your way so they have a table ready and waiting for you.

Enjoy your trip! You certainly deserve it. Our family had a WDW trip planned before my daughter's breast cancer was diagnosed and we took that trip right before her mastectomy and all went back to WDW exactly one year later AFTER both her chemo and radiation treatments. They were very memorable milestone trips for us. Have a great trip! Good luck with your surgeries.

Does any one remember or know off the top of your head what time the campfire is in November? Trying to book our B&C reservation around it, I thought the kids would have fun with that. But I can't find the calendar from last year. Anyone know, pretty please?

OK, for anyone still on the fence about that creepy clown at BW...here's proof that it actually EATS children! :rotfl2:
I'm still laughing about this! Come play with me, children...View attachment 96003

I had posted a picture of Pennywise the evil clown, but I removed it in case it might offend someone. I hope it worked!
