I've just eaten a packet of Fritos Chili Cheese corn chips that I smuggled back to the UK. Last packet I ate (and actually the first time I had ever had them) was 2 weeks ago on our balcony at YC watching Frozen fireworks. Ooh sweet memories.

I used to work for a company that was based in the UK. We once put together a big box of US snacks for our British colleagues and sent it over to them via interoffice mail since there was a lot of speculation about different yummies available here.

Also, I'm not sure if you saw my post earlier...but were you on the 4th floor of the YC? I'm pretty sure we walked by your decorated door several times during our trip!

Hey y'all! We leave in THREE days for our first stay at BC. We are from Georgia and some of the counties are on Fall Break for the week so we figured it was a perfect time to take our yearly Disney trip. The last two years we have gone end of May so we are looking forward to seeing how September is in the parks. Our kids think we are going to the beach. They are going to be so surprised when they find out we are headed to the "beach" at Disney! They were slightly disappointed when we told them we were going to the beach instead of Disney this year. I can't wait to spill the beans!!

We will be at BC Sept 13 - 20th. There are 5 of us (2A/3C). We are eating at Cape May on our arrival night and are also attending our first MNSSHP on the 19th. A great way to wrap up our trip. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. We are a Disney loving family for sure. :yay:

Anyone else going Sept 13 - 20?

Hello Dee and the gang!!! :) I totally forgot to put myself on the BOG list! I'll be at the YC the end of this month 9/26-9/28. Just two quick nights for F&W before heading to Universal. I'm actually surprised I even found anything available in the Epcot resort area, and I'm thrilled I can just roll myself back to the room after eating around the world! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Alright, finally got all our dates squared away. Arrive 11/15 for 1 night CR and decided to do just the 8 nights at YC instead of 9, so we will be there 11/16-24. After that we head to the beach 11/24 til 12/1. Looonnnggg trip, but what can you do?:confused3

Now I am off to plan adrs and make a game plan for FP+!

We'll be at the YC at the same time. If I see you I'll say hi. I'm sure your family is used to strangers from the Dis saying hi to you. ;)

Hi guys, been a lurker for years on here, but thought I'd say hello. We are stay at the YC for 17 nights on the 7th October 2015.

This thread is fantastic, and will come in handy for our family.:thumbsup2

46 days until I go. Counting down to my first Food and Wine. Sad no Maelstrom though.

I just posted this on another thread and thought it is a more complete, illustrative response to this question:

I know that this is a big concern for people with upcoming stays at the Yacht & Beach Club resorts. I tried to pay attention to the availability of chairs during my trip in mid-August.

It was much easier to find empty chairs (there are two sizes) than to find loungers without towels/personal items.

I went to the pool 3 times during the trip. Weather conditions during all of the visits to the pool were HOT and sunny. :sunny:

Monday August 18, 10 am to 11 am

No problem finding empty loungers or chairs.

Here are a couple of pictures:

Definitely harder to find a place for our stuff during this visit, but we did find something up at the top of the gazebo thing near Hurricane Hanna's. Here are a couple of pictures taken during that visit. You can see a few empty chairs and even loungers in a prime location.

August 19, 2 pm to 3 pm

Here is a picture taken at the spot right where you enter the pool area near Beaches & Cream. That is my folded towel on the chair on the far left. There were a couple of empty ones right near it as well.

Great info...thanks, Dee!

I'm a little late responding to your earlier question. I've gone with with kids who weren't sleeping through the night yet. My youngest didn't sleep through until she was a year-and-a-half. Generally, my older kids were so worn out, they slept right through cranky/hungry baby noise. For Thing #3, we brought our own travel bed. Thing #4 wouldn't sleep in anything but her own crib unless she was being held by mom or dad, so she slept with us. We might not have slept great, but the kids all did.

Yep, I have a feeling little man will be spending a good bit of time in our bed. Thanks for responding!

Well, I procrastinated too long and as such will not get to do the F&W Premium Package. :sad1: When I called yesterday - low and behold they had removed the Tuesday night late nights and I won't be there on a Thursday night. If only I had not procrastinated! I wouldn't taken the discount offered and kept the package. Maybe this was a sign the package wasn't going to be any good anyhow, right?

Popping in before I get ready for work this morning. Today I am tending sheep/goats in an offsite location. The farm I work for has an awesome program, Sheep to Shawl, a hands-on class where we describe all the steps in the process of making wool clothing from shearing the sheep, to spinning the wool into yarn.

My colleagues will be up on stage at a local theatre presenting the process to students, who go home with a self-spun bracelet. I will be outside on the lawn with Virgil the sheep and Cloud the Angora goat, desperately hoping neither of them get loose.

Wish me luck. Rebecca- I hope I don't have a goat story for you after today :scared1:

Great thread, lots of useful info :thumbsup2

Thank you!!!

:)

I tried booking BC for the first week of January (starting January 4) and garden view is coming up unavailable. Any idea why that would be?

:welcome:

The resort has been filled to capacity for most times of the year lately and I think the GV rooms are the most popular, but probably the smallest inventory. Cancellations happen frequently, so keep looking!

:goodvibes

Hi there we will be doing a split stay BC CL(May 20/24)/ POLY CL (May 24/27). Unless by some miracle YC CL in done with there rehab by then and we can switch. YC is defiantly our fav of the 2.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list

:cool1:

I've been watching & learning from everyone here. Thanks for all the info! My DH, DD (29), & DD (25) will be staying the Yacht Club for the first time -9-21-27. So Excited! We have always stayed at AKL and love it a lot. Since the girls are older we decided to stay where we could be close to the F&W Festival.
I just wanted to say that I have been in contact with Brittney at the Yacht Club bakery and she is wonderful. I asked for a cake to be delivered to our room when we arrive - cross fingers! I wanted something with a Minnie bow and flowers around it- saying Welcome Back Nic & Tess. It has been 7 yrs since DD(25) has been and only 6 months since DD (29) has been. Since DD(29) went in Feb and got engaged- her dream proposal. So I wanted this to be special for the youngest. I will send pix when I get back.
thanks for all the info everyone has given.

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list we keep on Page 1.

:woohoo:

Can't wait to see the pictures of the cake!

Not sure- I have info on the first page in the Amenities post 5? (Marina). I'll copy the info here.
