2013 point charts

Does anyone have any idea when these point charts can be expected (to be posted etc.)?
For DVC properties I mean...

Thanks!

Last year there was no reallocation and they came out at the end of November.

The two years before that there were reallocations and they came out at the end of January.

Maybe word will come out at the annual meeting on Wednesday.

Was there any info at the meeting on Wednesday?

You know about the point reallocation... it doesn't bother me so much that they are doing it, but that they give so little lead time for it. I am planning on making a reservation for 2nd week of January 2013, and I will only know maybe 2-3 weeks ahead of time how many points I will need! Sorry just frustrating.

Can someone briefly summarize what the *big* changes were in the 2010(?) reallocation?

In general, weekend points went down and weekday points went up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see dates move this time. Early December is very popular but it's in the lowest point season.

I'm so curious how they are going to reallocate it this time. I really can't wait to get our 2013 plans done...mid January sounds so far away lol

I agree, they will change around the dates or reallocate the seasons. Maybe bumping up that early Dec. time and pulling some out of early summer?

OK... I've made these kinds of predictions before (and I haven't missed one so far, BTW) and been highly criticized, but here goes...

Base buy-ins are going to be hard pressed after the reallocations to get what they use to get (100 and 160 point buy-ins). My bet is that this is a selling ploy to force owners to buy more points. I see a convergence coming of "high season" v. "low season" with much more space occupied in the middle of the spectrum forcing owners to buy more points inorder to really get what they want.

I could be wrong, but I won't be.

Once 2013 charts come out, we'll probably only hear from those who feel their point costs will be going up compared to previous years. But what goes up also comes down. Our family gathering in June 2011 was about 25 points cheaper than if we had used the 2009 point charts, mainly because our trip included a Friday and a Saturday.

My guess is going to be adjustments made to peak DVC booking times of Food and Wine and early December with lowering of hot summer months.

Ugghh... more point allocation... :( Added on 105 more at SSR just so we could do our usual trip at Easter. Now I'm wondering if 400 points is enough..... I know we could go at different times, but with kids in school thats our only option, and like the others don't want to go in the middle of summer.....
