2013 point charts came!!

We got two - we have 2 contracts same use year but one was Disney one resale
 
Multiple contracts but only one chart.
 
What a waste of paper and postage. It's all online and has been for a LONG time. I've got a pile of books here if anyone wants them!!

Not only a waste of paper and postage, but who is paying for this? Does this come out of our MF's? That would be a waste and should be addressed.

I do know they have filters to try to cut it down or at least they used to. Early in our tenure my wife was an associate due to the closing company's screw up that they wouldn't correct. So when we bought a second contract that also included her name on it, it was important to my wife to get separate mailings to feel like a real member. This was quite a chore and every time they'd change it, their filter would change it back. We ultimately had to change the address to my work for the first contract. We no longer own either of those contracts and that emotional component isn't there for her now so we'd be OK with one set though better with 2, one at my daughters house. We've been getting 3 over 2 contracts and 2 addresses for some time now.

While there's a cost to the process, I suspect this comes out of the management budget and thus would not cost members extra. I also suspect they have tried to fix it and the problem is better than the fix. It's very reasonable to let MS know but I'd be they're well aware already.
 
Okay.....how about the new member cards??

We each got one for each contract (4...............the ones that share the same use year, only one for the 2 of those)................and then 3 more sets. (so 5 contracts and we received 14 cards)
 
Two master contracts for two different use years. We got two sets of 2013 points charts. I suppose it could have been worse given each use year has at least 3 add ons. I have to agree with other posters - waste of money.

I would prefer they gave the option to receive an email that it's available to view on the website (for those who want to see it as soon as it comes out).

I think it's a waste to even send one, but sending more that one per address is ridiculous.
 
DVC really needs an option to select 'no paper mailings' in your DVCmember.com profile. For active members who are planning year in advance, we already have the PDF files committed to memory. Some over priced glossy Point Chart mailing isn't going to help us one bit in our vacation planning.

Please DVC - give us the option to not receive this and all the other mailings.

4 years into our membership, I started emailing and, during my numerous calls for reservations, I have inquired about such an option. They don't seem to find it important enough to make the effort. I have been a member for a little over 10 years and they still send it. And sadly, it seems like they have been sending more. You'd think that saving paper, ink, postage, labour and landfill overflow, they would seriously consider cutting it down. I know that some really love getting these and have it a keepsakes, there are quite a few of us that end up dropping it in the recycling bin which a waste.

An option would be great. An email to each member offering the option is quite easy. :confused3
 
Multiple contracts, two Use Years, two envelopes with point charts in the mail today. Gonna take one to work and leave the other one at home, so this works out well for me. I do agree to the waste, both in paper and in postage, but in my situation, I will use both sets.

Same - two use years, two member numbers, two points charts in the mail - but won't use either, as I always come here or to the member website for my point chart info. Seems like a huge waste of postage and paper!
 
I have two contracts and only one point chart came yesterday.

Why wouldn't they put a 2013 calendar in the with point chart???? I love sitting down and flipping trough the pages and a calendar would help as I scribble down possible plans.
 
Nothing has arrived yet at my house...

I don't see why Disney can't get it together with the point charts. They should send out 2 years of point charts at a time, and you should get them at least a year before.
I find that I really need to plan my DVC trips in 2 year blocks - do I need to bank or borrow, should I book at 11 months at my home resorts or try to get another resort at 7 months, etc.
