Hi all!

I need an opinion (or two!;)) Our departing flight leaves at 12:20 pm on Monday May 19. I would like to book a breakfast at Cape May that morning, the only time slot available is 7:40 am. Not sure how long breakfast with characters runs there. Do you think that would allow us enough time to eat, and make it back to the room to pack up for ME? Our flight is on Airtran if that makes any difference. Thanks!:goodvibes

Are using rental car or Disney for transportation? If your own, as long as you arrive at the airport 2 hrs early you should be good. If using Disney, magical express leaves at least 3 hours before your flight time.

Good luck!

Usually ME, in our experience, loads about 3 hours before your flight. So, even if you figure ME arriving at 9 a.m., that should give you enough time to eat. I usually factor about an hour for the meal once we are seated. I would, however, pack the night before, and try to organize my luggage by the front door before breakfast, just to be safe.

Is there an age limit to go in the lazy river. My son will be 1 year 4 months when we go in June and he loves sitting in his raft and floating around. Will my wife and I be able to take him into the lazy river at SAB? I guess the same question for the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? Also, are you allowed to bring your own float for toddlers? My son has a nice tube he sits in that has a net on the bottom that he loves and it keeps him very safe, will I be able to bring/use that? Thanks!!

Thank you both for your advice! :goodvibesNow I am looking at Captain's Grille too, as I spied an egg dish with Lobster in it!:hyper: The time there is 7:30, but maybe it would be a bit quicker since it is not a character meal?:confused3

Nope, DH wants Cape May...for the DD's of course!!

Hi,can you put us on the "Be Our Guest" list. Our family of four will be at the YC or BC (not sure which yet, love them both) the last two weeks of August 2014:cool1: Just hoping for affordable flights, at the moment August 2013 prices are £4000 ($6000) for four:faint:

i don't have a trip planned for beach club i am booked at wilderness lodge but am considering switching if my daughter would able to use the slide with a life jacket she would be 5 at the time and is very brave she rode splash mountain last trip and wouldnt like that little slide but my son will so i just want to find out for sure if she could use it before switching

Dee- we are staying BC GV:thumbsup2

Couchy, how about a Wishes or an Illuminations cruise for Mr. Couchy's birthday? We did an Illuminations cruise several years ago and it was a trip highlight! My other suggestion would be a KTTK tour. Again, I did it several years ago and it was definitely the BEST part of my trip!

Those are all fabulous ideas. I think he would love the Illuminations cruise

:thumbsup2

Yay!!! BC here comes flat Ben... Nope real Ben this time, and the family!!! Have a great time!!

The real Ben must be elated:yay:

Quick random question: we're considering staying at YC in early June. Our plan is minimal park time, lots of time at the resort and pool. Is SAB just crazy-busy and crowded in June?

So true Debrn. It is so cold here right now. Today it is supposed to warm into the 60s which sounds lots better than yesterday.

We arrived Saturday night. Didn't see Teena in the lobby yesterday so figure she must be on a cruise or visiting her girls. Checked the Marketplace's menu. No evidence of salads any more although I didn't ask as it was busy. There is a salad at HH. Sounds good too but haven't tried it yet.

I tool pics of the pool rules at both the BCV and BC "quiet" pools. Both list hours as 7am-11 pm.

Can I check on anything for anyone?

Have fun Debrn.

Thanks for checking on those things!

Too bad about the salads at the Marketplace.

Teena is in Vegas this week.

It will be busy. Get in early for a good spot. But the pool is restricted to BC/YC guests, with arm bands required for entrance, so it shouldn't be too horrible.

How did you guys make out with your reservations?

We did well with our reservations, I think. CRT was about 30 minutes earlier than I wanted, but other than that, things worked out well. We got BOG which should make my daughter happy! Thanks so much for asking :)

There is some great information about the SAB pool in the second post of this thread. here is the link:

The lazy river is very short and as you can see from the diagram of the pool, it makes a tight circle in the center of the pool area. I would guess it was about 100 feet long, but I am terrible at guessing lengths. A child is allowed to sit in a flotation device as long as an adult hangs on to it.

Both children and adults can wear life vests in the pool. I would assume that would include the slide, too.

For what its worth, my 5 year old and 3 year old grandchildren loved the WL side. They had a ball there. :)

Wow am I happy to be back to the best thread on the Dis!! I just spent about an hour reading about OKW...two weeks ago I spent 4 nights at SSR now I'm going to try OKW! I have a funny feeling I will LIKE OKW better, but I will always LOVE YC/BC best!! I added 2 days to my July trip and after 5 nights at BCV's I will be moving on over to OKW for 2 nights! I have learned a lot from the I love OKW thread, but nothing compares to the "Friends & Fun YC/BC/BCV's thread!!!

What fun that you are getting to try theses different resorts! Let us know what you think. I haven't tried either, but would eventually like to try all the DVC resorts. We are trying AKV this summer before our BCV visit.

Me, too! I have just spent the last hour over on the Hard Rock Hotel thread, reading the last 10 pages. That go back to July 2011! We got through 10 pages in about 3 days!

It is fun for sure! AKV is my home resort and I love it there! My trip in Oct-Nov is AKL CL... Part of me whats to try and switch it for BCV, but then theres that part that says stay AKV! So not sure what I will do. SSR I wasn't a hugh fan of... it's just really big lots of walking!! OKW is going to be by the hospitality house so I'll be close to all! I'll let you know how it goes!!

This is our first time at BC but this will be our 11th trip and our kids have always been allowed to wear a life vest of some sort.
